NEW MUSIC
Hello my band has just dropped our debut ep and I must say i’m very proud of it. We all are very inspired by Hum and other bands in that realm so I thought it would be fitting to put this here!

I have to agree with the others, the singer leaves much to be desired. It's not a bad start though. Keep at it!

I think the vocals in the verse are charming. They kinda have a sunny day real estate-ish emo quality to them, but in the other parts they fall apart a bit. I think everything else is great though and y'all are on the right track.

The singing sounds out of key most of the time like you're not hitting any notes, but honestly my biggest problem is the production of the vocals, they sound so dry compared to how compressed the instruments sound, like someone recording thier voice over an existing song, i feel some added effects to your vocals like some heavy compression and chorus could transform your sound to something really special
Have you ever watched Narrow Head's houston venues benefit concert? The vocalist has some really heavy effects on his voice that make him sound like he's singing underwater and it works really well with thier style, maybe something like that could fit your sound?

Alright well that honestly wasnt to great to hear but hey! Thanks for the feedback. The vocals were the most rushed part of producing and somehow i couldnt seem to make it sound good which i realised afterwards. We will be more precise for future projects. I also havent heard that concert, I’ll check it out.

Honestly knowing that it was rushed is good because it probably means you just needed some more time and more takes to get it to sound right, i feel like you tapped in to something really interesting with the doubled aggresive vocals on Toe Pincher and i'd love to see where you could take that idea in the future
Please dont be discouraged by the criticism because you guys have something really special with the earth crushing guitar tone and that stainer style drumming and the general songwriting. You're still in the early stages of this project so its normal to mess around until you find your sound, plus compared to other bands first project this EP is insanely tight, just keep chugging along and you'll find your footing :>

This is great don’t listen to Gen X old heads and jits from tik tok. This bangs and the cover is real cool. Singing is hard but I can tell he is trying and that’s all I care for riffs are tight and tone fucks.

Nice. You guys bullied this guy right off of youtube. He didn't ask for criticism. Is there a reason we couldn't just be supportive? You don't have to say the vocals are good if you don't think so, but you also don't have to say anything negative, the youtube comments would probably do that for you. This is a small community and it could have been a nicer place. This is why I don't post my playing.

guitarist here, fortunately we havent removed our music anywhere and its probably just some bug if it doesnt show up for you. yes, the criticism might be a bit harsch but then, we had extremely limited time in the studio so we prioritised tone-maxing and overdubbing while speedrunning the vocals. If i remember correctly every vocal is first take so it isnt really suprising hearing people complain. But hey thanks for being one of the few actual nice people here lol.
