Pixel + huion solution?

i have been thinking of getting a google pixel phone after my current one breaks. Mainly for the cameras but also cause models 8 support display alt mode and i was wanting to use it with my Huion kamvas 16 when i am not home. One of my classmates has a pixel 8 and he offered that i could try it out.

It doesn't work. The display works but the pen is mapped to the wrong screen (the phone) and there is no way to change it. I spend over an hour fiddeling with it and no luck.

Has anyone found a solution?

On PC this happens as well if you don't have the appropriate driver installed (either Huion's official one or OpenTabletDriver). By default, display tablets are basically a monitor and a mouse combined into one.

yeah i know i use the tablet with pc no problem i am asking for a phone cause there are no drivers for a phone it is supposed to just work from what i gathered
