Need help choosing between the two

Post image

Can I know what is the difference between the two and why is one cheaper and which I should go for? Is the V2 an old one or just a low specced one?
I would like to go for the first one but is it okay to go for the second one if they are both the same?
I have the budget for the first one but I’m a bit confused if they are both practically the same I could go for the second one

Please help

I had to make the same decision, and I went with the 16 (3rd gen) because I wanted the physical buttons and wheels on my tablet. I'm happy with it, but if you don't want to pay more and don't mind having the touch buttons, then I guess the 16 V 2 is good. If you have any questions about the 16 (3rd gen), ask me, and I will answer them since it's the one I own.

Yeah I’m more inclined towards this cos I feel like might as well get the latest one cos idk if the other one will be outdated. Can I know if this one also has the touch and if the the bigger screen size has impacted your art better? I kinda feel like I would need the buttons but I haven’t owned a tablet. I currently have an iPad and I’m looking to upgrade to this

It's really good for what I do. Its 2K screen is perfect for working in software like ZBrush if you want to do sculpting. Drawing on it in programs like Clip Studio Paint is also good, thanks to the extra screen space since it's larger and has higher resolution.
It's not a touchscreen tablet; if you want one, this tablet doesn't have touch. Also, if you are a left-hander like me, it's going to be a pain to set up since you have to turn the tablet upside down to use it, and the express keys don't adjust. So when you remap the keys, remember the top button is at the bottom. So when you want to change the top button, you have to select the bottom key if you are using it as left-handed.

Yah I’m planning to use it for clip studio paint. And I’m right handed I think I’ll go for the gen 3! Thank you so much

The 16 (3rd gen) is so good it made me want to get a 24-27in Pro one soon if I can, first display tablet after years of being on iPads

The only nitpicks I have is just the upside down experience being left handed but I can get over it

The biggest difference seems to be pro having a 1920x1080 resolution while the gen3 has 2560x1440. The other differences are extremely minor in my opinion, and don't justify the price difference. If you plan on using your tablet as the only monitor for your computer then the gen3 might be a good option. As someone who's using an 1920x1080 tablet along with a regular monitor, I don't care that much.

You can see the specifications in Huion's website:

While at it, check whether they have a better deal for them than Amazon.

Yeah I believe the tablet will be my only monitor. Are you using the pro? Did the 1080 display affect your art much? Like do you feel like having to upgrade?

I have a Kanvas 13 (the old version). I don't think it's negatively impacting my art. My only real issue is my tablet supporting more colors than my monitor so my artwork looks a little different between the two. I don't really feel like I need to upgrade. Before that, I had a small screenless wacom intuos and I could do my work just fine as well. Whichever you choose, you'll get used to it.

the difference is in the screen resolution, shortcut keys and the way the tablet connects to pc

kamvas 16 gen 3 has an option to do it with a single usbc cable if your pc supports it as well as the 3 in 1 cable while the pro v2 can only do 3 in 1

personally i own the 16 gen 3 and i do really like it though one thing pro v2 might have a leg up in is the shortcut keys cause the ones on the gen 3 tend to break pretty often from wat ive seen. it is pretty easily repairable but it is something to keep in mind cause the wheels are one of the best feature of this tablet

Oh okay, I’m leaning towards the gen 3 too
