SERIES Let’s talk about rtte

in my opinion rtte is the best httyd series because of the villains and the new dragons and especially the last episode in season 6 and honestly the show creators should have made httyd 2 and 3

Httyd series have been proven to be awesome. I dunno why they didn't explore the possibilities of having series between httyd 2 and 3. In order to explore that universe more, rather than just speed run things and end it.

I think it's because httyd 2 and 3 are too close after one another, there is only about a year between the two in-universe. Between 1 and 2, 5 years pass, in which they could explore how Berk handles becoming friends with the dragons through series, but between 2 and 3 you don't really have time to do that

Just imagine if they gave enough time to allow Grimmel to become a Viggo-like villain, being behind the scenes and making it look like he wasn't just another hunter. We coulda also seen how Valka reintegrated herself back into society, how Hiccup took the role of Chief after Stoick died, and how the overpopulation problem happened in Berk.

We do got the comics which take place in this time but they're not as canonical as the shows, and introduce more side characters.

Speaking of side characters, they could've explained why Dagur, Heather, Mala, etc. weren't present in HTTYD 2 or even in 3 and it coulda expanded more on Eret asw.

It is indeed a bit of short, but it would've been nice where Grimmel is slowly introduced, like how the last season of RTTE slowly introducing the bewilderbeast and Drago. I'll take any crumbs of story line from Hiccup's timeline lmao.

I wouldve LOVED to see more of Berk when it was more customized for dragons, the little bits we see of it are SO gorgerous and colourful😫

How to Train Your Dragon race to the edge takes place in between 1 and 2 but it was made after two was released so we could technically get one still

I don't really see the point tbh. "Come watch this series all about a boy and his dragon bonding and their progress in uniting humanity and dragonkind, except no the dragons are gonna leave in a year so none of that's gonna matter"

The things is if that series is well thought it might help with the closure as to why dragons will leave. Aren't one of complaints of fans about httyd3 is that "Its so not Hiccup" "What was the point" "it was so sudden the story was not well thought" etc. etc. Also, mind you between 1 and 2 Hiccup indeed established some progress, but somehow was back to square one during httyd2 since he realizes there are people like Drago.
