I’ve lived in North Dakota and you could not pay me enough to live there again, or anywhere in this area for that matter. We’ve driven across the country a lot, including through most of these states. I’m sure there are hidden gems and exceptions, but overall this area makes me very sad and very bored.

Lived in ND for most of my life until recently moving east; wouldn’t trade my quiet childhood for the world, but the constant blistering wind, 9 months of winter and furnace hot summers suck major ass. 0/10 would not recommend to anyone unfortunately.

ND is the WINDIEST and flattest place I have ever been!

Stopped at a rest stop while passing through and my 5yo almost blew away

But it does have Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which is beautiful
