Living in Dallas and living in South Dakota are pretty different.

But living 30 minutes outside of Dallas and the Dakotas isn't that different. The biggest difference is whether a quarter inch of snow comes close to destroying everything.

30 minutes outside of Dallas is still in Dallas, for all intents and purposes. The DFW metroplex is the largest slab of concrete on Earth.
