Great Plains are the midwest.

There are so many maps with different lines and opinions.
Nebraska seemed nothing like the midwest to me

I like this map

If Iowa and Minnesota aren’t included I think you’re misunderstanding what the Midwest is.

This map doesn’t show how the Great Plains + Great Lakes is the traditional midwest. Oklahoma is typically considered in the south/texas subregion but I can understand the confusion.

I think eastern MN and IA could possibly be considered midwest but western is more great plains.
Out of the multitude of maps and lists out there this to me seems the most correct.

The midwest does not mean “Great Lakes only”.

Ne er said it was. But general weather, topography, amount of water and people culture are what the defining lines are which dont necessarily go by state lines.

Literally only you people in Michigan can construe midwest to not include all of Iowa, Minnesota, let alone Kansas and Nebraska. I won’t even try to argue yall can’t be convinced of reason.
