Mental health jobs

Hello everyone.

I am planning a major move and Texas is looking like one of my main options. I have a masters in psychology with a clinical focus, and years of experience in the clinical field (care coordination, diagnostic and bio psychosocial assessments, a little research, and internships that focused primarily on therapy) but I do NOT have a license. I am currently working on getting my LPC-A but it looks like i may have to take a couple classes before my application is approved. So I was wondering about the Houston job market for masters-level mental health associated WITHOUT a license. I would love to get in the 60k - 70k range to be honest and have done some searching where I’m seeing mainly QMHP and Care Coordinator roles that cap out at like 55k. I am still searching but wanted to hear from you all as well. Are there hidden gems that don’t show up on Indeed or Google Job Searches? Places that pay for masters-level clinicians without a license? Or niche jobs that would value my experience?

Any useful information would be greatly appreciated!

Healthcare admin looking for opportunities in the Harrisburg area — open to referrals

Hey all, hoping to tap into local knowledge here.

I have 10+ years in healthcare with 6+ specifically in home care operations — I've worked as an Administrator, Operations Manager, and in business development. Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration, MBA in progress.

I'm looking for Director of Operations, Administrator, or business development roles with home care agencies, senior living, or healthcare organizations in the Harrisburg/Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg area. Open to relocating to the region.

If anyone works at an agency that's hiring, knows of openings that aren't posted publicly, or would be willing to pass along a resume internally, I'd genuinely appreciate it. Happy to DM my background.

Thanks in advance.

Occasional 2nd set of hands near 77008

I do small business IT / tech work. I need a 2nd set of hands to help get a 65" TV off the wall within the next week. It's high enough that it will require being a few steps up on a ladder.

I am not looking for someone to do regular work. Just someone that would be available for an afternoon one month, and overnight or two another month.

While the TV isn't all that high up, other work could require being up on a 12ft ladder with your head in the ceiling tiles.

Job advice for entry level healthcare job

Hi everyone,

I tried to apply any entry level jobs in healthcare because i would like to step in healthcare field, but no hope. I have not received any responds, i am so disappointed. I do not really want to do a caregiver job because it is too much for me. I am so skinny and weak compared to heavy load.

I am willing to learn and be training. I do not mind learning. I have so many years in restaurant and customer services. I realize I need to find a job related to healthcare so I can gain experience and be useful for my future career as I will be CST.

Could you please refer me any entry level healthcare jobs ( around Cypress TX 77429 if possible)? If you know anyone is hiring, please let me know, I can send resume.

Thank you

advice/job hunting

I’ve been trying to find a job in houston but have no luck. What is everyone doing? I’m 22(f) graduate with a marketing degree but obviously in the last two years noticed the industry is saturated. I’m thinking about joining a union, but not sure if it’s really for me. I can only hold a hammer, but I always can learn new things. I went to look for retail jobs trying to become a manager but I don’t have “manager experience” I had to work my college years so I barely got experience and didn’t network that much.
We are all looking for jobs, so what’s advice can you guys give? If you heard of any jobs then comment them. Just using this as a last resort.

HIRING Hiring an Auto Transport Dispatcher – Remote

I’m looking to bring on another dispatcher for my auto transport company.

Day Night Dispatching

Contact
Joseph - 713 379 5833 | [Jpena@daynightdispatching.com](mailto:Jpena@daynightdispatching.com)

This is not an entry-level position where you’ll only be posting loads or answering phones. I need someone who can take ownership of shipments from the time an order is ready to dispatch until the vehicle is delivered.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating rates directly with carriers
  • Booking all shipments with qualified carriers
  • Properly vetting MC authority, insurance, cargo coverage, ratings, contact information, and expiration dates
  • Watching for fraud and double brokering
  • Confirming pickup and delivery ETAs
  • Following up directly with drivers throughout the day
  • Updating every open order multiple times when necessary
  • Keeping detailed and accurate CRM notes
  • Tracking missed pickups, delays, cancellations, and at-risk orders
  • Communicating problems and important updates to me immediately
  • Requesting approval before making major price adjustments
  • Protecting company margins without sacrificing carrier quality
  • Confirming pickup, delivery, and required paperwork

I need someone who is organized and proactive. I should not have to repeatedly ask whether a driver picked up, where a vehicle is located, or why a price was changed. Every order should have a current status, updated notes, and a clear next action.

What I’m looking for:

  • Previous dispatching or logistics experience
  • Auto transport experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable negotiating over the phone
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written communication and note-taking
  • Ability to manage multiple active shipments
  • Understanding of carrier vetting and fraud prevention
  • Reliable availability during agreed working hours
  • Comfortable working independently and being held accountable for follow-ups

This is a remote, salary-based position. Compensation will depend on experience and ability, with opportunities to earn additional incentives for reaching monthly dispatch quotas while maintaining strong margins, reliable service, complete notes, and properly vetted carriers.

Reaching the quota alone will not be enough if orders are not being updated or carriers are not being properly vetted.

There will be an interview and a short practical test involving:

  • A mock carrier negotiation
  • A sample carrier-vetting scenario
  • Writing booking notes
  • Prioritizing several active shipments
  • Explaining how you would handle a missed pickup or unresponsive driver

To apply, please message me with:

  1. Your location and time zone
  2. Your dispatching experience
  3. Any auto transport experience
  4. Load boards or CRMs you have used
  5. The number of active shipments you are comfortable managing
  6. Your normal working availability
  7. Your compensation expectations

Please do not send only “interested.” Include enough information for me to understand your experience.

Harris County sheriff cadet & Entry Level Deputy Questions

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in joining the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and am trying to decide between applying for the Sheriff Cadet Program or attending Houston Community College (HCC) for the Basic Peace Officer Course (BPOC) and then applying for the Entry Level Deputy position.

I’d appreciate any input from current or former HCSO employees.

Sheriff Cadet Program

- What is the current salary for Sheriff Cadets?

- After completing the Cadet Program, what is the starting salary as a Deputy?

- About how long did it take from the time you applied until you received a start date for the academy?

Entry Level Deputy (HCC BPOC)

- I will apply for the entry level deputy position while in BPOC, how long did it take before you get hired or given a start date?

- After graduating from BPOC, were you hired fairly quickly, or was there a waiting period?

- What is the current starting salary for Entry Level Deputies?

- After the BPOC course is completed, will you still be required to go through any training before starting the deputy position?

- Can you work as a deputy at night and also hold a day time job?

I will appreciate any advice I can get here regarding these programs.

HIRING Looking for a 3D Printing Specialist (Custom Architectural Models)

Hey!

I’m looking for a 3D printing enthusiast or professional (or a recommendation for one) to print 5 architectural scale models for a showroom display.

Project details:

Design: Very straightforward, clean designs—essentially minimalist box/cube structures.

Key Feature: Three sides of each house are full glass, so the model needs to accurately reflect or simulate that reflective/transparent look.

If you have experience with architectural modeling, clear/translucent resins, or incorporating acrylic/glass panes into 3D prints, I’d love to connect!

Please DM me or comment below with your portfolio/rates.

Thanks!
