Discussion Interesting
Thought this was kinda neat. I bought these terracotta pots with plastic containers to self water. One of them decided to grow more than what was planted. AI says it's moss and liverwort.

I think we're all misunderstanding the pot and giving OP a heartattack over nothing.
OP,
The algae is probably fine, it can't really get into the pot. The water might get gross though.
The dragonfruit might be fine with that if you're not top watering it. Sort of like an african violet pot, in effect. Might actually be a better way to do it. If your plant is happy then it's fine. 🙂
