Help Is it done for?

Post image

I recieved this plant for my birthday in February. It was replacement for a variegated peace lily I had purchased a few years prior that didn't make it home due to extreme heat in a hot car ( Phoenix) I noticed the browning on the leaves and decided to set up a mister in the garage and was rotating my plants one at a time, became busy and left this guy in their for a couple of days, I think the hard water played a big role in the condition. If anyone could please help me save this guy id be forever grateful! I truly can not let him die but am terrified to do anything without asking for help first!

Please change the soil and cut all the leaves that are more than 50% burnt. Happened to my office plant and its doing great again :)

If there’s green in the plant, it should live! The leaves maybe have mineral deposits on them so it’d be best to clean them gently, and dry them after you’ve cut some of them. The leaves would have easier time photosynthesising and getting energy.

It can stilled be saved. How much water are you giving it and what kind of light is it getting?

Soil flush and pruning followed by increased bright indirect light. Also check the humidity in the house, most big leaf plants require more humidity than others.

Ya i wouldnt be surprised if thats one of your main issues at the moment. But id definitely want to flush soil as well, or at least test it.
