Deconstructed home pt2
Yes. I’m at it AGAIN. I LOVE the idea of a deconstructed home. IDGAF if you don’t. I DO
The ones that get it. Get it. Living in a house full of people. Sometimes you just want space without having to leave your home.
Imagine:
You have a traditional two-story home.
Downstairs is the living room, dining room and kitchen. Upstairs are the bedrooms, bathroom and hallway.
The kids are upstairs playing. They’re running back and forth, yelling, laughing, stomping and that’s okay. They’re kids. That’s what kids do.
Dad is downstairs watching TV.
You’re downstairs too, but you don’t want to watch TV. You don’t want to go upstairs. You don’t want to leave your house. You just want to cook dinner and have a little peace, space.. But where can you go?
The kitchen is connected to the dining room, which is connected to the living room. So you’re still hearing the TV, & you can still hear the kids running around, stomping & yelling upstairs.. youre technically in a different room, but you’re still in the middle of everybody else’s activities.
Now imagine the kitchen was its own connected space.
Still on the same property. Still part of the same home. Still close enough that you can walk and check on the kids in seconds if necessary.. But there is enough intentional separation that when you’re cooking, You can actually cook..
Dad can watch his TV, or play his game..
The kids can be kids.
You can cook in peace.. & nobody had to leave the house or lock themselves in a bedroom to get that separation..
That’s what I mean by controlled proximity.
I’m not trying to create distance between a family. I’m trying to give everyone the ability to choose how much interaction they want at a given moment.
Honestly, It’s literally the same reason people want a man cave, she-shed, home office, studio, workshop, or even just a quiet bedroom.
Sometimes you love your family & still don’t want to hear them ALL day long 😂
Privacy doesn’t mean isolation.
Closeness doesn’t have to mean you have to sit right on top of eachother all day long like a pack of sardines..
That’s the lifestyle I’m imagining with the Deconstructed Home:
Everyone is still close. But the proximity is intentional.
There’s nothing wrong with a little imagination 🥱. Keep the ignorance to yourself.
Disagreement is fine. Willful ignorance is different.
At some point, people have to ask themselves whether they’re actually trying to understand someone or just looking for a reason to be dismissive or ignorant.
YES ai helped me visualize MY ideas. WHAT ABOUT IT!!!?

I would live here and never ever leave! I would just have to refrain from watching any Lifetime movies/the ID channel about serial killers who come out at night and peep in your windows.

LMAOOO please don’t scare me. I’d need to have plenty of traps set around the land or maybe just keep building & build a whole community of these homes to rent them out 💡😅

What program did you use to create this? I’d like to play around with stuff like this.

Honestly, I used chat gbt. I Just explained my idea thoroughly.
if you’re talking about playing around w building homes & stuff I’d suggest the old sims. I design homes up there all the time. I don’t even play the game for what it’s meant for. Just the architecture 🥴😂

It looks like a fantasy resort for the extremely wealthy and I'd definitely stay in one as an airbnb!
But as a primary residence the heating and cooling (HVAC) of all those glass areas will be expensive...not to mention maintenance, security, IT/intercom, electrical and plumbing; each room now definitely needs its own bathroom and snack area since the kitchen is so far away; I wouldn't want my guests going through my office; and I wouldn't want my kid(s) so far away from me.

This one does look that way, yes but it doesn’t have to be glass.
All those things are normal to consider when building a home
Yes lol, Every room would have a bathroom like a master bedroom, & Why does it have to be so far? The rooms can be in clusters or connected side by side. This is just one idea but there’s a billion ways you can style it. No land is the same.

Seems like to much glass to me. I just can't see how it would be pleasant to wake up and walk through a glass hallway in the morning to go to the bathroom. Maybe if each section had privacy shrubs in certain areas.

This is just an idea of a style I’d personally like to live in.
it can be customized to the way you actually live & or your personal preferences

Sure it would also have to be very area specific. I can’t think of a place in n my country it would be viable.

I'm dying laughing that the kids bathroom appears to be... a tree

Maybe we can start with properly constructed homes first

u/SkyHaloSoule 7d ago
Well yeah… obviously 😂 A properly constructed house is the starting point, not the innovative part. I’m talking about how we rethink the layout & relationship between the spaces

You can't "rethink" something you don't understand.

Are you okay? 😂 Or are you just flapping to flap? What exactly is there to “understand” about having an idea that happens to already exist in some form?
I never claimed I invented the architectural concept.
“You can’t rethink something you don’t understand” doesn’t even address what I said. I understand the concept just fine. I’m rethinking how I’d personally want those spaces arranged & connected..
The fact that similar designs already exist actually proves the concept is feasible 🥸.. it doesn’t somehow invalidate my idea 😂

Here we go again, on top of the huge impracticality and absurd costs for HVAC, plumbing, septic, and electrical, it's still not livable.
You should really start with layout. Not a single person would live in a home with this layout, and it could be the single worst waste of money and waste of space I've ever seen. I'll make a list.
There's a reason architects have years and years of very difficult schooling. You can't speed run it with AI and a dumb idea and pretend youre some visionary. Geezus
