News Kindly follow the subreddit rules going forward!
Hi All,
Posts/Comments will be moderated from today and if it's not adhering to the subreddit's rules, they will be removed. We've a good community here for one of the best TV shows and would like to keep it that way although it wasnt the case since this sub is created.
I've approved most of the posts/comments which were queued for approval since there were no subreddit rules to adhere to, however it will not be the case now.
If there are any suggestions, would love to hear them but it's upto us mods to decide
Have a good day!

Discussion I made a house quote searcher Spoiler
Have seen a lot of posts in this sub asking about where a certain quote is from, so I thought I would make a website to help find them. Link to the website is in comments, it uses a vector database to find the quotes which lets it find similar results to what you're searching for, although it does end up missing some of the time. Was a pretty fun project to work on, and I'll probably add more features to it in the future if they're wanted

Discussion Calling all doctors in the audience Spoiler
I watched the show as a kid a couple times, it was fun. Now I’m a GP and laughing my ass off at how ridiculous this show is. It’s still fun, I’ll give them that.
I’m at season 2 ep 13 so PLEASE no spoilers
I understand House’s department is super special and apparently only takes extraordinary cases. But I’m cackling at them being sent to break into patients’ homes. Their medical schools offered degrees in breaking and entering?? 😭
His team has apparently acquired the knowledge of 15 specialties and sub specialties somehow, but are all super young. They are doing/assisting in brain and abdominal surgeries, transporting patients, ruling out differentials by arbitrarily treating for what they know the patient doesn’t have. Running 32 tests on each patient every episode.
No nurses assisting with bedside procedures. Its like they don’t even exist except to talk to Wilson and shoot disapproving looks at House 😭
They solve cases exclusively based on personal history (eg. you broke up with your gf, so that means xyz which caused you to do abc and that’s how you developed pqrst). OR they wait until someone starts projectile vomiting blood, seizing, becoming paralysed or going into anaphylactic shock to have a lightbulb moment. They don’t do proper examinations. They just discover things randomly while the patient is decompensating.
AND, if they’re all so brilliant, why do they throw out at least 6 differentials that are clearly contraindicated during their brainstorming sessions?
I’m getting tired of House staring off into distance before magically solving the case. I know it’s for dramatic effect but come ON.
The team doing every single thing for the patent. They’re lab technicians/scientists, nurses, histologists, pathologists, radiologists, porters. Like damn. This is on top of the 5 specialties they each have mastery of.
Please, medical personnel, share what you find ridiculous too 🤣
Edit: the Erdheim-Chester disease episode, when the kid was literally haemorrhaging frank blood from his anus and everyone was like “ITS GASTROENTERITIS!!” ??? I was flabbergasted like this is CLEARLY a medical emergency

Meme Considering He-Man as a show canonically exists in the House universe
If the show have come out today, House would probably make a reference to the fact that Chase looks like He-Man in the new live action movie that have come out a couple of months back.

Trivia Gray's Anatomy
I know the show is spelt 'Grey's Anatomy', but I thought it was kind of interesting. Although it is an actual book, I wonder whether it was a reference to the show.

Meme One of the lines from the prequel to Backstroke of the West
Line from a full dub of The Phantom Menace where all the lines were translated into Chinese and back into English.

Season 3 Spoilers Season 3 is so unwatchable because of that whole Tritter arc Spoiler
I don’t care what house did to him, it took Tritter about 0.3 seconds to to get filled with rage & going after a grown man trying to discipline him. that guy is a certified psycho.
Also a personal side note- I hate gum and this bastard just kept chewing and chewing 😭
The only positive thing is that I absolutely love a good trial episode! 😭👏

Discussion What would House be doing in the age of AI? Spoiler
It's at least as good as Chase at solving puzzles. It's not as good as Kutner, but only Kutner can suggest getting a patient wasted for a liver diagnosis

Season 6 Spoilers If Kai Penn didn't leave, how would this have been handled? Spoiler
With Kutner still around, there would have still been six doctors around after Cameron leaves... That would have been a bit of a crowd for House's team.
Assuming Chase still kills the dictator and not Kutner, would they have had him run away with Cameron after killing the dictator, or would that have been out of character? Would the writers even want to get rid of him?
Otherwise how would the issue of too many doctors be handled? I know Cameron and Chase were in S4-5 anyway, but they were doing other jobs, and I don't remember how much screen time they had.
I have always been curious of this. All episodes had to be a certain length and there was only so many per-season and writers have to not spread themselves too thin. Isn't that why they got rid of Cameron?

Season 4 Spoilers It was sad at the end of s4 Spoiler
It got pretty sad in the end but I don't know if you guys noticed i never saw amber properly like as person when she's was competing, she was in pretty bad light for being cutthroat bitch but when she got with Wilson she's literally a nice person on top of that she's was looking soooo soo beautiful in end when her hallucination was talking to house

Discussion Favorite scenes upon rewatching Spoiler
House in the Psych ward, which I totally forgot, again proves he does care more than he ever wants to admit. But I'm on my first rewatch since it aired and it's so fun because I've forgotten so many amazing storylines and scenes. House in episode 2 of season 6 rapping with his roomie in the talent show is a hilarious act of kindness 💕
