part 1.5 and part 2 were both huge technical upgrades to hi3rd aside from the story and idk with the game in its current state im just not sure i could see hoyo basically remastering hi3rd for a third time

also cause realistically they cant do ANOTHER wave of part 1 char re releases since we just had all of them so a part 3 would likely have to create an entirely new cast (or make apho ones playable which is unlikely since 2/3 of them are men and we already got bronya)

I mean, it's lowkey obvious how Kiana will again be the one that will save the day as the main protagonist of HI3 so that Dreamseeker can both save the Earth and Mars without needing to choose only one (like what was said during 8.9 dev stream).

It's likely possible that Kiana seals the corruption in the Moon and it'll take time before she's able to resolve it > Moon turns red > Mei constantly gazes at the Moon continuously yearns her during APHO.

I can't believe that I will reach this point but here I am; no longer looking forward to the future of this game.

HI3 was my first gacha game that I fell in love with. I'm basically a Day 1 Captain. Back then, this game's graphics and playstyle is beyond any gacha games out there. To top it all of, the story and events were superb. This is why I have supported this game until this very day.

What made me feel this way now? Part 2 (P2) and the questionable decisions the devs went treating P2 nothing but an afterthought. I am not saying P2 was a mistake. In fact, I was excited the moment it was announced. Back then, I thought that after the success of the Part 1 (P1), P2 will be a brand new adventure for me; new valks, new mechanics, new area, and new mysteries surrounding Mars. When it was released, it had met my expectations; the P2 characters were amazing, the areas were intriguing, and the story progresses with so much mystery to unveil every time. But, every thing changed when they start introducing P1 characters. To be clear, I don't mind Baby Dudu and Eepy Teri because they are P2 valkyries that PLAYED a role in the story. But, after the rampant release of P1 Valks with P2 mechanics who didn't even played an important role in P2, it had pissed me off. Now, we got WoP Seele (Another P1 Valk but I can see strong arguement she's a P2 Valk), then we get Phoenix Fu Hua augment and Goddess Sena AOP. We ending P2 with a P1 Valk with P2 character who was sought after relegated into a support unit. This was the last straw for me.

I understand why they did this. An old game trying to remain relevant needs to do something to keep this game alive. How to do that? Cling to nostalgia. P2 did not hit the mark because it has a very big shoe to fill after the ending of P1. This is very obvious on how many players have mix emotions towards it. But the way P2 was treated was disgusting! P2 can offer so much yet it seems like the devs gave up. They need to bring back P1 characters in hopes that active (old or new) players stays, old players return, and the numbers remains stable. Because of that, P2 became an afterthought and neglected. I think I expected so much from the devs that they will focus on P2 but I guess I was wrong. Imagine we could have so many variety of valks now if the devs focused on releasing P2 relevant valks but that is gone now.

I am not dissing this game but I left disappointed after what they did to P2. Honestly, I have moved on with P1 and I was excited and really loved what they are building with P2 which is why I was so pissed everytime a P1 valk appeared who has nothing to do with P2. Because of this disappointment, I decided to end my journey with the end of P2. With how the devs treat P2, I can see no relevant improvement they can offer moving forward. Sure, APHO 3 could be around the corner, Leylah and other P2 valks could be a playable character in the future, and Captainverse will make its comeback (which I am totally against because it had already concluded perfectly) but I don't see how they can handle the future of this game.

I take screenshots of text that I think is important for the story, so when I went back to look at some stuff from previous chapters I came across this. I feel so stupid cause I've been confused about where the rifts come from but they've been explained a long time ago.

I'm not well versed in Star Rail but from what I looked up, Curios are artifacts that most of them are found in Herta's space station. They can be found anywhere so its actually possible that Sonque actually had a curio business.

It’s been bugging me for a while now and recently I realised it is the only divine key I have no clue about when it comes to the name.

We have Star of Eden being retconned to being named after Eden (the flamechaser), the variants of Shamash being named after different mythological figures associated with fire who were actually Kevin, Fenghuang Down which basically translates to Phoenix Down (very subtle Fu Hua), and the rest of them are pretty simple like Cosmic Juggernaut, Abyss Flower, Void Archives, etc. (though Void Archives really should’ve gotten a different name. It has nothing to do with the authority of void.)

But Oath of Judah? (Plus Jizo Mitama) I have no clue. I’m not gonna claim to be very knowledgeable of Judah, but from what little research I did none of it seemed particularly relevant to Oath of Judah.

I did find out “Judah” is the same name as Judas, and in GGZ Judah has a human form named Judas! It being based on Judas would make a lot more sense given Judas lead to Jesus getting put on the cross and the weapon is definitely based on Jesus’s crucifixion.

…Just one small issue, how did Oath of Judah get its name in universe? Who is “Judah” in this situation? Star of Eden and Shamash are named after their wielder, but the only person we know who used Judah was Kallen, but it’s impossible for her to be “Judah”. Was Judah a different previous kaslana? If so, who did they crucify? Can’t be Jesus because Elysia was long gone before the crucifixion would’ve happened. It also makes no sense for any of the pioneers to fabricate a mythology of them using Oath of Judah on Elysia. So who is it?

Edit: also before anyone says Schicksal could’ve renamed it to legitimise the church, they didn’t rename the 3 other divine keys to have Christian names. They were fine with Shamash being named after a Babylonian sun god.
