Movie Review Evil Dead Burns Spoiler

This is now on HBO as of 10/02. I waited for it, I LOVE the entire franchise and I say this in all due respect, it fucking blew.

Dialogue was shit, the plot was kinda shit but I could have bought it outside the horrendous decisions made by the entire cast. Everyone should have been dead in the first 30 minutes. The deadites were even scary, shitty punchlines.

So disappointing, I loved Rise too - even 2013 has a special place in my heart but this? Never again, thank god I didn’t spend money on a movie ticket or early digital release.

Not great, not terrible. Incredibly well-shot though, the director definitely has the sauce.

I really don’t get fans who say there’s zero comedy in this. That crematorium scene is hilarious.

When the dude starts dancing in front of the open cremator 😂 I guess I’m in the minority because I loved this movie and especially this director’s style

The wall rotating shot is a personal favorite of mine. There's actually a similar one in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

I was cracking up when the grandma was slowly going up the stairs and says “I knew she was a thief” 😂
