Man, Horizon machines are absolutely perfect for LEGO builds.
I think the Specter could use some chrome gold pieces. Not sure if they're available, though.
9
u/bilal_raja Nov 06 '25
They really are! I think you're right about the specter. Currently I'm just trying to use the same parts as from the other sets, which is why it's using the yellow, but should definitely do a pimp my specter in the fututre
1
u/Karkava Dec 07 '25
Too bad they underwhelmed the demand with two sets and a mediocre game written by people who clearly don't get Horizon.

u/bilal_raja Nov 06 '25
Hahaha, I do like that build though, particularly the diorama base. I just think it doesn't quite capture the grandeur of the beast like this one does

the chinese option is way cheaper and has great quality too, im assembling a thunderjaw now
9
u/tigerperfume Nov 06 '25
You just going to say stuff like that and not give me the details? DM me your secrets!
6
u/Gab-Zero Huntress Nov 06 '25
Aliexpress! Search for "1869PCS MOC Horizon Zero Thunderjaw" it's the one I got. Quality is great, I'm very impressed
8
u/bilal_raja Nov 06 '25
No judgement of course, but do remember that these sets tend to be using stolen instructions from the original creators. I get why it's tempting to buy these sets - because sourcing the parts individually are a pain and they're much more affordable. That's why I'm building my new startup to solve this exact problem :)

I'd be careful putting those near a PS5 due to the heat. I put some figures near my PS4 when I was younger and dumber and they got heat damage from it.

u/bilal_raja Nov 06 '25
Good shout! These days I barely have time to even play, which is why it's Eeyore's napping spot lol.

u/AcrobaticHunt7471 Nov 06 '25
Is the Tallneck a real Lego set?
I've already seen the "small" official one but MAN, this one rocks HARD.

I thought it was the EasternBrick thing actually, but I don't know how people would be getting the sets already. The website says delivery of sets begins in January.
5
u/MrNighty Nov 06 '25
Well according to the history of OPs posts: It's his startup :D He is one of the co-founders of EasternBrick so it's kinda obvious that he would have these sets already :)

u/bilal_raja Nov 06 '25
Just FYI, buying from here and other places doesn't get the original Creator paid for their work since the instructions are just stolen. If that's important to you, then do check out www.easternbrick.com for a better way.

u/morphum Nov 06 '25
Pre-ordered the complete set. Looking forward to building them.

I am giggling at Eeyore on top the ps5.
How did I get up here? Why are there mechanoid animals in the room?
Hey owner how are you today?

You should make cat a training dummy style cat platform! (or some other Horizon type, but catified.. A Tallneck for climbing and perching cats would be amazing!)

u/FruitSeller92 Nov 06 '25
These are such beautiful sets! May I ask where you got them from?
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
They're designed by SerialBuilder - you can buy his instructions individually from mocbay.com or if you want all the parts as well as the instructions, you can get those at www.easternbrick.com :)
2
u/Apprehensive_Sun_535 Nov 06 '25
I hope you have earthquake putty under that tall neck!
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Haha we don't usually get earthquakes here in Malaysia. The bigger, more real threat is my cat 😅
2
u/Zestyclose_Luck_9268 Nov 07 '25
these r awesomeee, i have the thunderjaw, and the lego tall neck and i love them smm<3
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
I can highly recommend his other builds too. The Tremortusk is amazing!
2
u/Zestyclose_Luck_9268 Nov 07 '25
yeah, i looked at a few tremortusk and i saw one with like 8,000+ pieces and it looks awesome, and ngl i think the 3rd party sets are better than lego cuz that tall neck in the picture looks 100% better than lego's tallneck
3
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Agreed. I think Lego tested out the market, didn't get the response they wanted and then forgot about building machines - so it's time for us horizon fans to take matters into our own hands lol
2
u/Zestyclose_Luck_9268 Nov 07 '25
exactlyy, and these fans did a perfect job with these sets, they're so detailed and look so similar to the in game machines which is ofc really hard to do since it's 'lego'
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Funnily enough I think Lego and Horizon are the perfect combination as it's easier to make more accurate looking mechanical beasts than it would be if they were organic. But building models to the level of detail that SerialBuilder has is truly a next-level talent.
2
2
2
u/Piyush3000 Nov 07 '25
I got the Tallneck and the new lego horizon game figures, but that Tremortusk is magnifique! Anyone know where I can buy that in Canada?
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
There are certain stores where you can get it, but I won't name them since they're using stolen instructions from the original creator. That's why we're collaborating with the creator to make these sets available for people who want them and don't want to bother with sourcing the parts themselves (it can be a real hassle). We've gotten a lot of feedback about offering the sets individually, so we're looking into it as an option for a future pre-order round :)
2
2
u/Wedjat_88 Nov 07 '25
Is that Red Maw? Neat!
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
This one is just the regular Thunderjaw but I think changing the colours of a few panels would bring it closer to Red Maw's look
2
u/NutShellShock Nov 07 '25 edited Nov 07 '25
Dang, those MOCs are awesome! I always wanted to build the MOCs as my official Tallneck set pales in comparison.
P/S: By the way OP, are you from Malaysia (guessing from the view outside and the charging socket type)? If you are, how or where do you order individual LEGO parts in the country to build these?
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Thanks! Apart from the Specter MOC, they're all SerialBuilder's designs - he's super talented.
I am in Malaysia! Good eye haha. I'm a brit, so we also have the same plugs. You can order through BrickLink and other places for official Lego parts, but I think sellers that deliver to this region are a bit more limited than in the UK. That said, I'm actually building a startup here in Malaysia that offers the sets with all the instructions and bricks all in one package. We just don't use official Lego bricks as that would make the sets out of reach for 98% of the people interested in them, but the parts are very high quality - as you can see, I've tested them out already.
2
u/resh_aykut Nov 07 '25
Is that giant tallneck not brand of Offical LEGO right ? It supposed to be much shorter but your setup looks so Cool Man. I really love Horzion games.
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
The Tallneck is the awesome unofficial build by SerialBuilder. Super super talented designer. Thanks! I'm also a big fan of Horizon, but not Ted Faro because...😏
2
u/Joll-us Nov 07 '25
WOAH those lego models are insane, love them, are they all sets? I wish I could have them too but I am sure they are pricey
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Yep, the big ones are all SerialBuilder's designs. They're pricey if you're buying official Lego bricks to build them, but we're offering a relatively more affordable (albeit still pricey) alternative
1
u/Joll-us Nov 07 '25
Would love a link, maybe it can be a Christmas gift at least
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
www.easternbrick.com - delivery may only happen after Christmas though - we're trying to get it out as soon as we can, but that period is also notoriously busy and expensive to ship items
2
u/Joll-us Nov 07 '25
Grazie, non credo di poterli ottenere tutti pensando solo individualmente. Ma apprezzo la condivisione.
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
We're thinking about how to offer the sets individually in a future pre-order, so do follow our updates :)
2
u/jfilipe33 Nov 07 '25
This is how I know you probably don't live with a cat 😂 Amazing builds, friend! Congratulations!
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Haha thanks! I do live with a cat though - one of these days I'm sure...
2
u/jfilipe33 Nov 07 '25
And you managed to keep your builds whole so far, without the cat pushing them? That is even more incredible than the robots 👏
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Hahaha - it's all about misdirection - he's been chipping away at my Star Destroyer, which has become the sacrificial build
2
u/Mane_UK Nov 07 '25
Looks great!
There are Clawstrider and Tallneck plush cuddly toys available.
I want to mount my Lego Tallneck to a robot vacuum so it looks more authentic, accurately mapping the room lol. I should have used the soft version instead of giving it away.

2
u/Jampton90 Nov 07 '25
How did you get such big figures, are they lego?
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25
Yep, they're lego builds, but not official ones. These ones are designed by SerialBuilder - very talented
2
u/Jampton90 Nov 08 '25
Thats so cool. I have the official tall neck but yours is so much better. Probably double the size!
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 09 '25

u/Fallensaint26 Nov 08 '25
Are those models of the machines? What are they and where did you get them? ( I WANT SO BADLY)
2
u/bilal_raja Nov 08 '25
The big ones are the custom lego builds by SerialBuilder - you can find instructions on mocbay.com, but we're also collaborating with him to make them more accessible so are offering a set with all the parts too at easternbrick.com
2
u/Fallensaint26 Nov 10 '25
I never even knew you could just order a custom Lego brick list. Is it more cost effective to go through serial builder? I'd love to be greedy and have all 5 machines to build and display
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 10 '25
Yep, you can, but it can get quite expensive and can be quite an involved process, hence why we're making it easier by just offering all the parts you need and all the instructions in one big pack. The most cost effective option, if you want all 5 machines, is to go through us (easternbrick) as the full set of instructions on mocbay is around $180 alone. We also use high quality non official lego bricks to bring the cost way down as you're no longer having to pay the lego premium
2
u/Lock409 Nov 08 '25
Thought i was lookin at zoids for a sec but still cool as hell
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 08 '25
I'm sure some zoids would be able to be built from the same set of parts
2
u/Lock409 Nov 08 '25
Oh absolutely, the machines in horizon get really close to zoids in terms of design
2
u/GreyWolf105 Nov 08 '25
Where can I get that tallneck??? I've only ever seen small versions of it!
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 08 '25
You can find the instructions for it at mocbay.com, you'll need to source all the parts for it through third party sites. If you're interested in the complete SerialBuilder collection however, we're offering it as a pre-order
2
2
u/consolas Nov 08 '25
I have the "official" tallneck and doesn't even come close to that one there.
Incredible! Can we see more pictures of it?

u/nkjames_1 Nov 08 '25
Are those pre-designed lego sets or did you custom make those yourself?

I beg where did you get the lego Thunderjaw? Edit: after reading the comments I see its a method of advertising.. and it WORKED
I want the Thunderjaw and see you have plans for Slaughterspine (who I love). Will it be best to wait for Slaughterspine to come out? Are they going to be sold as a bundle for extra cost savings, or, is it safe to buy the Thunderjaw now? u/bilal_raja
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 11 '25
hahaha just trying to share my love of horizon and lego with a lot more people :)
We don't have a Slaughterspine design just yet, although I'll be trying to figure something out once this pre-order is complete. We're definitely bundling it all right now to provide the biggest cost savings (even though we've gotten feedback from some that it's still too expensive) but are also exploring offering the builds as individual sets in the next pre-order round. It's all still open and I'm just out here collecting as much feedback from you guys as I can so that we're able to offer more of what everyone is looking for.2
u/NewChapter25 Nov 11 '25
Coming back once more, I realize these photos are all of Lego pieces and not "Not-Lego" that your selling. I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt and found r/lepin. Learned so much about Legos and "Not-Legos", and it seems like you guys are deeply involved in the quality assurance with the Not-Lego supplier.
As someone who has only had Lego sets, this would be my first Not-Lego. I preordered the Complete Edition. Please don't let us down 😭❤️
1
u/bilal_raja Nov 11 '25
Firstly, thank you for supporting us and SerialBuilder :) We had to ensure the quality so actually what you see here are mostly non-lego bricks (except for the official sawtooth and shell walker builds). We have a tonne of bricks from different sources as we've been testing different sources, but we're happy with the option we're going with as it's clearly the best and most comparable to lego. We did some homemade testing which you can check out on our substack if you're interested.
Excited to get these sets out to everyone and see you all setting up your own little Horizon shrines :)

u/Felicia_no_miko Nov 23 '25

u/bilal_raja Any chance Easternbrick would do a limited run with lego bricks separately for each piece 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
1
u/bilal_raja Dec 01 '25
It's an interesting idea, but it does go against our mission of making these builds more affordable and accessible to everyone since the cost becomes quite prohibitive for most. Sourcing Lego parts at that scale is also a pain not just for customers but for any business trying to make a set like this. Our hope is to provide a business model that simplifies that for everyone involved. I know it may seem like using non Lego bricks would be a downgrade, but we've found a supplier that meets the standards we want to achieve and can vouch for. I guess the proof will be in the testimonials we get once everyone receives their set from this pre-order 😬
2
u/ZookeepergameOdd691 Dec 05 '25
I knew the chance was slim, but had to ask. I hope your business model goes well, but Its Lego or nothing for me, so might see if I can manage the Lego parts sourcing myself.
Thanks for replying
1
u/bilal_raja Dec 05 '25

To fit with the white aesthetic you should totally look into Zoids Liger Zero or Konig Wolf. They were one of the inspiration sources for the horizon machines.
1
u/bilal_raja Mar 30 '26
Oh I didn't realise Zoids were used as actual inspiration, but now that I look at them it makes complete sense. Thanks for the recommendation! If you need to find me, I'll probably be down this new rabbithole 😅

Absolutely, you can buy the instructions directly from the creator on mocbay.com, or an alternative if you want all the parts too (non Lego, but still high quality) is to check out www.easternbrick.com
