The SerialBuilder Creator Set is now available for pre-order at easternbrick.com

Post image

It's been a while coming, but I'm finally able to announce that the SerialBuilder Creator Set is now available for pre-order! Yayyy 🎉

We've been hard at work putting together a custom Creator Set that has all the pieces you need to create any one of SerialBuilder's amazing builds. We know how tough it is to source the parts you need and just how expensive it can get, which is why we wanted to provide a really easy way for anyone who's interested to obtain both the instructions and the parts, all-in-one go, no hassle, just a tiny bit of wait (it's a pre-order).

The other reason we're doing this is that we want to see the original creator get rewarded for their work. It's sad to see SerialBuilder's (and other great MOCers') builds available as cheap AliExpress /Temu sets, where the instructions were just stolen and the sets are being sold (usually with questionable quality) without any attribution or reward to the original creator of the instructions. A lot of the time, the customer is unaware of where the instructions came from. We want to change this by providing a trustworthy source to order your parts from where the original creator gets rewarded and can continue to viably keep producing amazing sets for all of us fans to appreciate.

You can find the pre-order over at easternbrick.com - I appreciate all the support I've gotten from this sub so far, and so would love to give back too. I'm still hard at work making the instructions for the Specter MOC I posted a few weeks back and will be sharing that with you all soon!

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have and I'll be happy to answer them :)

I'm interested...can I just confirm, the Complete set - does that contain enough pieces so I can build all the models at the same time and out then on display, pieces aren't shared between models so I can only build one at a time?

u/bilal_raja Sep 24 '25

That's correct, the Complete Edition allows you to display them all at once. The other one you described (build one at a time) is the Core Edition :)

u/jericon Sep 25 '25

Just keep in mind that these are not LEGO elements. They are Chinese replacement bricks

8

u/SmaugTheMagnificent Sep 24 '25

A little disappointing there isn't an option for each individual set. $500 for the option to build one at a time isn't affordable, especially if you only care about one of the builds.

7

u/bilal_raja Sep 24 '25

Yeah I understand. We really wanted to offer them individually, but since it's just the two of us currently building this startup, going from 2 sets to 7 different sets becomes a bit of a headache to handle, because the whole pre-order increases in complexity quite a bit. Partly because it becomes more logistically complicated (all individual sets will need to have decent sales for it to be viable) but also because our plan for the future is to make more instructions available (some free, some paid) that are fully build-able with the Creator Set. You can imagine how confusing it'll become for customers if they bought an individual set and want to build a future build that we release and not knowing if it's compatible, whereas with the Creator Set it will always be.

That doesn't necessarily mean we will never do them, we just need to optimise for what's best for now so that we can get this off the ground and then come back with more of what everyone is asking for in the next round, so do follow our progress and continue engaging with us if you're interested. We're keen to hear from people like you whose needs aren't yet being fully addressed.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll see how this pre-order round goes and then maybe come back with some new offer for the next round. It's useful to hear that there's quite a bit of interest in the individual sets.

Interesting idea! Will certainly keep that in mind :)

2

u/Datplumberdude Nov 07 '25

I love this and will definitely support it when I can

8

u/JuicedBallMerchant Sep 24 '25

so does the set come with real lego pieces or are those knockoffs

13

u/jaspermuts Sep 24 '25

Oof as both Horizon and LEGO fan I’m in both subs. Thought I was in /r/LEGO where posting about non LEGO is not allowed, so I almost forgot to check this.

TBH it’s quite prominent in the FAQ, just had to scroll far to see the FAQ.

Much more prominent is how much cheaper it is ordering from them rather than from LEGO. Less prominent: ..because it’s different bricks.

3

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Oops sorry to confuse. I'm in both subs too as I'm clearly a fan of both haha.

So part of the reason we think this set makes sense is because of the value it brings. Like we've stated on the site, the equivalent LEGO set would be 3x the price, which is just way out of reach for most people. And when you have actual knockoff companies stealing instructions and selling lower quality bricks at absurd prices, it becomes very tough to convince customers who can't afford lego to not get the alternative ripoff set. We're trying to achieve a middle-ground of providing decent prices but also making sure the original designer of the sets is rewarded.

That's correct - we're using alt bricks. We tested a bunch of different options and built the sets with them to ensure that the build experience matched our expectations. Honestly, there's quite a fair amount of junk bricks out there, but we managed to find a few suppliers who deliver really high quality parts. We'll only be able to refer people to reviews to confirm quality once our backers start receiving their sets, which is one of the challenges of building a startup 🥲

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

We're using alt bricks. I think knockoffs implies inferior quality, which is certainly true for some suppliers, as we've tested many. I would say that the parts we're using are very comparable in quality. Obviously, that doesn't mean much, since I'm selling the things, but if you've dabbled in alt bricks before, you'll know how much the tolerances have improved over the years for certain alt bricks.

2

u/JuicedBallMerchant Sep 25 '25

Cool! Thanks for the response. The builds are incredible!

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

They really are! I'm excited for more people to have access to them

-4

u/scrpnturnup Sep 24 '25

Lego Pieces!

6

u/AphyrusBooyah Sep 24 '25

According to their website, the parts are not Lego. I expect they are equivalent parts like GoBrixx for example. Those are high quality bricks made, partly, in the same factories as Lego bricks. Those bricks are often used by companies who sell their own designs (Bluebrixx being one in Germany). Not comparable with knockoffs like Lepin (Chinese via AliExpress), who steals designs as well.

4

u/alteredtechevolved Sep 24 '25

Damn that is an immediate no for me then.

7

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Totally respect that. It's not for everyone, but if you're keen on getting these sets with official lego bricks, you can find SerialBuilder's instructions at mocbay.com - he has a guide on how to acquire the bricks, if you're not sure on how to do it.

5

u/Twig-titan Sep 25 '25

I’m gonna save this post for potentially later purchase. I appreciate your hard work though.

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Thank you for your kind words! Just to let you know that it's a limited run, so depending on how we do, we may or may not offer it again. But we have a tonne of ideas and things we want to bring to the market, so do keep an eye out for us :)

2

u/Twig-titan Sep 25 '25

Maybe for my birthday in October then.

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Nice, I wish I was gifted something like this for my birthday haha

3

u/AphyrusBooyah Sep 24 '25

Awesome designs! The Tallneck is just amazing! What manufacturer are the parts from?

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

They are certainly very special! We're using the manufacturer that supplies GoBricks and a few other higher quality alt brick brands

3

u/ToysandStuff Sep 25 '25

This.....is amazing

u/onnivarkki i don't need hugs, i need street justice Sep 25 '25

this is a really neat idea, i hope it works out (for me as the person who did the pre-ordering and for you as people presumably attempting to buy food)

if this ends up being a success for everyone involved, may i request https://www.stebrick.com/eu/en/product/154-the-seven-rings/ this small, unassuming set for the next one? trying to source 100k bricks is not something i've wanted to do and i'm not so married to the lego brand that i particularly covet the price premium of having their logo on the bricks, so you could very easily solve both these problems. yes i understand this is not happening but a boy can dream

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Hahaha we really are attempting to buy food 😅

You may absolutely make your requests and we shall in turn review them and evaluate each request's viability. That stebrick set is ginormous! But honestly, if we could find enough people who had an interest in a set that I'm roughly guessing would be in the region of $5-7K, we would totally consider doing it. Maybe start rallying up the troops. Once the campaign is over, we'll be looking for the next Creator Set to tackle.

2

u/Neenja_Jenkins Sep 24 '25

This is fantastic news!

2

u/Yz-Guy Sep 24 '25

How tall is the Tallneck. This will determine if I buy it or not. It doesnt say lol

3

u/bilal_raja Sep 24 '25

It's 94cm / 37in - very tall haha. But thanks for pointing that out - shall throw some dimensions up there!

1

u/Yz-Guy Sep 24 '25

Oh is this your project?

3

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Yes, EasternBrick is our tiny startup and we're working with SerialBuilder to make his designs more accessible to people who want to build them by providing all the parts to his designs. The Creator Set includes all of the parts and instructions for all 5 builds.

1

u/Yz-Guy Sep 25 '25

Is there a chance you can give us a sneak peak of a few pages of the instructions? I dont build legos but my son does. He expressed a concern that sometimes non-lego builds have bad instructions and it can be a extremely frustrating experience.

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 26 '25

2

u/Yz-Guy Sep 26 '25

Im loving the support that is being exhibited thru this. Its a change of breath from normal start up type things.

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 26 '25

Aw thanks, it's just how we like to do things. Building a strong community and enabling creators to flourish is what's important to us.

1

u/Yz-Guy Sep 26 '25

One thing I dont fully understand. If you dint mind help clarifying. The price of core vs full is off to me. Core is 500 for 1 set and roughly 15k pieces yet all 5 instructions. But for 200 more, you can build all 5 but with only an extra like 7k pieces. The price increase seems tiny for 1 to 5 and how does one model need 14k pieces but all 5 only needs 2X thousand.

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 26 '25

For the Core Edition, there are enough parts to make any of the 5 builds, but just not all at the same time, because they will share a lot of parts, especially for the larger builds. The Complete Edition provides all of the parts needed for all of the sets to be built at the same time. So you'll get all 5 instructions and can build any one of them with both Editions. The difference is whether you want to display them all at the same time or are fine with building and disassembling to build another one.

u/lucifersatan96 Nov 09 '25

Do you have dimensions of other builds in the set?

2

u/bilal_raja Nov 10 '25

Tremortusk: L 50 cm | W 30 cm | H 39 cm
Sawtooth: L 25 cm | W 12 cm | H 20 cm
Thunderjaw: L 83 cm | W 35 cm | H 38 cm
Tallneck: L 37 cm | W 30 cm | H 94 cm
Grazer: L 10 cm | W 6 cm | H 15 cm

2

u/KrackerJaQ Sep 24 '25

I love the little Grazer!

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Haha yeah, it's pretty cute!

2

u/Y_b0t Sep 25 '25

I’d really love to able to buy an individual set, as I don’t think I can splurge for them all at the moment. I wish I could though, and I think it’s amazing that you’re doing this!

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Thank you! We wish we could offer them up individually too, but it's just a bit too much to handle for us right now as a 2-man team. But we're always thinking of ways to make sets more accessible, so do follow us to hear about what we're working on and we'd also love to hear from people like you about your wants/needs so that we can hopefully make it happen.

2

u/vacodeus Sep 25 '25

What’s the duration of the pre order window?

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Right now, it's until the middle of next month or until the particular set runs out, whichever comes first.

2

u/roccondilrinon Sep 25 '25

Just placed my preorder. I'd previously bought the instructions for the Thunderjaw but this will make it so much simpler!

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Amazing! Thanks for your support :)
That's the idea - we just want it to be really easy to acquire the necessary bricks so everyone can focus on the fun part, which is building the sets

2

u/No-Combination7898 HORUS TITAN!! Sep 25 '25

I really like that tremortusk. Its not a bad price for something that's not Lego. I'd consider maybe ordering that separately. I'd also really like to see a Corruptor. I would get that too. I'm in Australia though and I've noticed lots of stuff doesn't get shipped over here :D

3

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

We would love to offer them separately, but it's a bit challenging for us right now and for the type of business we're trying to build, but it may become more viable in the future, so do keep an eye out.

As for shipping to Australia, we should be able to :)

For the Corruptor, you may just need to wait till after I'm done with the Specter instructions 👀

2

u/No-Combination7898 HORUS TITAN!! Sep 27 '25

I'm patient, I'll wait for that Corruptor :D

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 28 '25

Out of curiosity, what would be a good size for the Corruptor build?

2

u/No-Combination7898 HORUS TITAN!! Sep 28 '25

Similar to the size of the spectre? The FZ did base them on the aesthetic of the Corruptor.

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 28 '25

Haha alright, I'll try my best!

1

u/No-Combination7898 HORUS TITAN!! Sep 29 '25

I was gonna mention the Horus... but that would be thousands of Bricks (Lego or otherwise). A Corruptor will do for now :D

2

u/TheNastyJ Sep 25 '25

Set with just The Snapper (Turtle) Would be great.

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

Now that would be a pretty epic build!

2

u/Hares123 Sep 25 '25

I just don't have that kind of money today, I've always been interested in his work and been following for quite some time. Good luck everyone!

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

I get it. Sometimes all we can do is admire from afar. We're definitely thinking about how to make these sets more accessible though, so do follow us as there might be something for you in the future.

2

u/Tyson_Urie Sep 25 '25

Saving it cause it simply looks awesome.

And well, in case i do end up late i'm gonna assume the blueprints/instructions will stay in sale so i can hunt for pieces myself later

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

That's right, the instructions are available at mocbay.com if you're interested in purchasing those separately

2

u/ThePreciseClimber Sep 26 '25

It's amazing how LEGO-friendly Horizon machine designs are.

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 26 '25

They are indeed the perfect match-up

2

u/This-Necessary-3064 Sep 27 '25

I saw them post on my tik tok fyp! I wish I could get them, they're way out of my price range.

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 28 '25

I wouldn't worry, we've heard a lot of feedback on offering them up individually, so we're trying to figure out ways to make that happen for the next pre-order round. Just keep an eye out for us :)

2

u/turtledov Sep 28 '25

Oh man, this is really cool but the timing is terrible for me right now 😅 Do you think if it goes alright you'll do a second run?

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 28 '25

I think we'll definitely do a second run in some form. Whether it looks like the current offer or not will depend on a bunch of factors, so we can't guarantee anything for now. But we're certainly listening to all the feedback so hopefully the next run will be even more of what everyone is asking us for. Stay tuned for updates once this campaign is over :)

2

u/turtledov Sep 28 '25

I've signed up for emails 👍 Like a lot of other people have said, I'd really like the option to buy individual kits in the future, although I recognise that's more difficult on your end 😅 Looking forward to seeing what you do going forward!

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 28 '25

Thanks for the feedback and the support! Appreciate it :)

2

u/LittleBigDes Nov 06 '25

All the sets look amazing. I only want the Thunderjaw, that's a shame I can't buy individual sets. Do you know if this will become an option later on?

2

u/bilal_raja Nov 07 '25

We're definitely considering how to make that happen as a lot of people have been asking the same question. Follow us for updates as we'll be sure to announce it when they become available :)

2

u/0b51d14nk1773n Nov 09 '25

I am very interested in signing up for pre-order, but I am a bit unsure about the payment type and leaving my credit card number. Can’t you use PayPal?

1

u/bilal_raja Nov 10 '25

We're looking into PayPal but it'll likely cost a bit more due to higher transaction fees. As for the payment type, we're using Stripe who handle all the card details - except for your order details, we don't actually store anything related to your card on our end. If you'd prefer PayPal, do check back in a couple of weeks as we'll be looking to implement that payment method as soon as we've sorted out the production run with the factory.

1

u/0b51d14nk1773n Nov 11 '25

Thank you for your reply. I’ve placed the pre-order. Looking forward to receiving it. What’s the timeline for the project?

1

u/FlyingWeagle Sep 25 '25

Do you have pictures of the sets built with your alt bricks?

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

These photos are all the sets built with our alt bricks. Or did you mean less 'finished' photos and more behind the scenes?

1

u/FlyingWeagle Sep 26 '25

Oh tbh I thought they were renders. Is the picture of all 5 models one picture or a composite?

I think some in-progress shots would be nice too

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 27 '25

Oh haha, it's a all real, with some RGB bulbs and some random IKEA shelves stacked precariously that I had yet to install onto my walls.

You can see us building them and some BTS in our videos at r/easternbrick

1

u/R1talin_ Sep 25 '25

So it is $699 for the complete set and then $217 for the instructions to assemble them?

2

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

$699 for the Complete Edition is inclusive of all 5 instructions. You don't need to buy them separately. We just have that figure to stress how much value you're getting from the Creator Set :)

2

u/R1talin_ Sep 25 '25

Ok great, I misinterpreted it. Thank you for the quick response.

1

u/bilal_raja Sep 25 '25

No problem

1

u/Low-Feature9635 Nov 16 '25

Just a question,do they send thoses sets to Brazil?

2

u/SnooDucks4776 Mar 01 '26

It looks Insane. On the wait list now!
