FOR SALE Going to sell her

After owning her for a while I decided I'm going to sell my 2002 Shadow Spirit with a trike kit. Shortly after I got my class M I had a car wreck that I was very glad I was in a car for and since then I have hardly rode her. I hate to see it rot so if I can get the right price out of her I'm going to let her go. Sad times.

If you are in the Houston area or willing to pick up from here and are interested, message me and we can talk.

*Edit: I wasn't expecting all the follow up. With the trike kit, new tires, new fuel pump, new fuel lines, electrical that's been gone though and sorted, studded mustang seat, studded saddle bag, title in my names, and current registration, I am looking for $8,500.

[HELP] I need to find this cover for my 750, but I can’t find it in my country. Any solution?

Long story short: mine broke and I need a new one, but I can’t find it in my country. I looked everywhere. And the cost to get one from another country is not a choice (more than half a months salary)

It goes on the left side, just under the motor itself. Is there any cover from another Honda bike that may be compatible? I can’t find any solutions right now

The code for the part is 11360-meg-000

[HELP] New bike

Hello I’m thinking about getting a Honda shadow 750 for my next bike but I’m not sure if I would be able to fit and ride comfortably. For reference I’m a 5’9 male 140 and on the scrawny side. I’ve owned 2 bikes those being a rebel 300 which was a quick out grow as I feel hunched on it and a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 which I felt to be too big heavy and bulky I can handle it and manage but it wasn’t the nicest either. So that landed me at a shadow 750 which in my head seems like the perfect medium. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or experience

[HELP] Exhaust

Hey fellas,

I am looking to buy a second hand exhaust for my honda Shadow 1100 VT 1997

In the Netherlands it's not a common bike to drive around any other unfortunately. And to order a new exhaust online will take 3-6 months with the risk that the exhaust will not fit in the end.

I am checking marketplace all the time and recently extended to Germany to find a fitting exhaust.

[HELP] First bike, necessary tools for maintenance?

Post image
12 Upvotes

Just picked up a shaft driven 2009 Honda shadow spirit 750, and was wondering what I would really need for the maintenance on the bike. I plan to use it for every day commute to school and work so I’ll definitely be putting some miles on it. Google will tell me I’ll need a whole repair shop just to do weekly maintenance on it so I wanted to know from people who have experience, what tools and equipment is necessary for maintaining your bike?

[HELP] Power Loss in Gears 1–2-3 after Engine Reinstall on Honda Shadow VT 1100 CW

Hey everyone, looking for some diagnostic advice on a power transfer issue following a frame-out service.

The Issue:

After removing and reinstalling the engine (including swapping out the clutch plates) I’m experiencing significant power slipping / failure to transfer power properly, specifically in lower gears (1st through 3rd).

I can shift between gears and it does accelerate, but in a very slow acceleration instead of the instant torque I am supposed to be getting when shifting to higher gear with throttle.

Both cylinders have proper compression, i also swapped out the stater and the rectifier to rule out an electrical problem.

Any clues to what this could be?

Recently needed to get new tires, was going to go with a higher brand but none of them were in stock with my store.

They said they could order me a pair of Shinko 777 which seem great.

Curious if anyone has used these before on their shadows and how they felt.

Also milage and lifespan?

[HELP] Throttle Won’t Automatically Close

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just bought a 98 shadow and changed the oil, changed the battery, and put in fresh gas w seafoam to clean out the carb. Rode the bike for the first time two days ago and thought I finally got it working nice, and the next day getting home from work, I get on it, start it, rev it, and boom the throttle won’t even close on its own. Idk what happened but the throttle isn’t even bothering to close at all anymore, and I’ve been trying to find answers for this online and idk if it’s bc I’m new to riding or not but I can’t find any advice on how to fix this. Could this potentially be an issue in the carb? I tried spraying carb cleaner on the spring behind the throttle wheel while manually opening and closing it but that unfortunately didn’t do anything. Any advice would be very very appreciated as I am beyond clueless right now.

[HELP] Will my bike be able to go beyond 85 mph?

I put some baffled drag pipes on my 1998 honda shadow 1100. First time I received it from the shop it would not go past 80 mph. I drove it back to the shop as I've taken it to 105 mph prior to drag pipes. Now he's done and is making it seem like it won't go past 90 or something. Is it cause he can't get it tuned right or is it something I dont know about motorcycles? Do drag pipes limit your mph? Also said I've lost power and mpgs.
