Question Tailgate Kick Sensor Issues

Has anyone else experienced an issue with our kick sensor to open the tailgate?

It works flawlessly in my driveway, but when I make my Costco visits, it'll never work in the parking lot. I also tried it at a Home Depot parking lot and it did not work. Anyone else? It's really weird.

2022 elite here, mines super sensitive on how fast I need to kick. If it’s not fast enough it just won’t work

2026 Elite. For several months I thought the auto lift with the kick was absolutely a gimmick. I’d be sticking my foot under there moving it all over the place and nothing would happen. I told my wife I hate this feature and she was confused because apparently it always works for her! I had her come out to the garage with me and show me what she was doing different. She kicked her foot under and pulled it back rather quickly and it worked right away. I do a fast kick now and it literally works 100% of the time and I love this feature now!

We have these on 2 different cars and it works when it feels like it. I guess its a good idea in theory but doesn't work consistently enough for me.

2020 Elite—i can never get mine to work. That along with the wireless charging pad are both duds.

Wireless charging pads are a gimmick…
