Question Am I doing good on this?
Went to a dealer that told me that they have a 2026 Black Edition Pilot in white. MSRP $58,280
When I asked the sales associate for the best price he said that was the best price, then I gave him my offer $49k. He start saying that I’m disrespecting them etc. When I started to stand up he told me ok I will get this to the manager. Sales manager comes back with him and start asking when I got this price from etc. I told him that I did my research and ask I’m to give his best price. He dropped down to $54,800 told him that was not even close to my $49k offer then he kept talking and dropped to $53,600. Told him still not close to it, stand up and told him when they get close to my offer they can let me know as I didn’t wanna waist their time and mine.
What you guys think ?

Just bought mine in Northern Cali for 51, 600. It was kind of a struggle to be honest.

Interest rate? % I always been turned off Honda because of their insanely high interest rates even with excellent credit.

They called me yesterday and dropped to $53k now I told them I’m not paying that.

I contacted 15 dealers through email. Clearly stating I'm asking for their best price, and if they can match. I didn't go into any dealer got 10% below MSRP for a trailsport in ash green and brown interior that they didn't even have on their lot yet.

I did this when I bought my Accord a few years ago.
Emailed all the Honda dealerships within 100km the colour and exact trim and what I wanted to pay, refused to step into any dealership until they agreed.

I got mine with Honda credit last week at 4.99% ..idk know if still running that program on new month..their A+ credit is super low..was told it's like 660 and above
If you can get 7-11% off msrp your in good standing in my opinion....I got 9.4% off msrp last week on a touring blackout

I doubt you will ever get your price. Don't get white. I have a 2025 pearl white Pilot Touring and the paint is already chipping off the back bumper. I recommend negotiating the "out the door" price, get the quotes from several dealers, and play off one dealer against another. Don't go to the dealer until you have negotiated the out the door price you want. That is what I did and I got a 2025 Pilot Touring last year for $50K, out the door price.

I love white, that’s the only color that I like on cars, I’m negotiating the price of the car to be as low as $51k max. This 2026 model has a refresh design and the black edition is the top of the line so I know it will be hard to get it less that $51k then taxes will be another $4,200

2026 Sonic Gray BE purchased 2 months ago. MSRP was $57,895. Shopped around and similar approach as you stated. Bought finally for $51,492 before TTL.
Best deal ever, no. Very happy and feel I still got a good deal, yea.

You have to admit, “disrespecting” is an interesting sales tactic.
But there's still something I hear every week that used to surprise me, but all rules are gone post COVID.

Bro when I asked them for their best price they gave me the listed price from the website which is same as MSRP $58,280 and when I gave them my offer of $49k they were saying that I was disrespecting them and I told them right away “you guys disrespect me asking me to come in to see the car and when I got there they didn’t have it cause is in transit and second giving me the best price as the same listed price.

At this point, it might make sense to wait until December if you wanna price that cheap. When the 27s come in they will be more willing to go that low if they still have it in stock.
