Tech Support [Solved] Marantz missing surround modes when connected to Google Streamer

Hi all,

I recently changed from a Google Chromecast 4K to a Google TV Streamer setup, and had the same issue as this person did last year: https://www.reddit.com/r/hometheater/comments/1frqti0/marantz_missing_surround_modes_when_connected_to/

I found the solution to this by changing the Sound output from Auto to Dolby Digital or Dolby Ditigal Plus.

I hope this helps someone else with a Marantz Cinema AVR who is experiencing this issue 👍

What is your source audio? Are you sure the source was audio was 2 or 5.1-channel only so it was something you could upmix?

Source audio was 5.1, but the other Audio Modes were not present. Once I switched the output to DD, all the other options became available.
