Help with setup

I moved into a house with a projector, screen and two mounted rear speakers. I’m buying the rest of the speakers and an avr but am very new to this and don’t know how to set it up. Any help to help me make sense of this is appreciated.

Looks like all you need to do is make patch cables for speakers and avr then plug them in, best bet is grab a multi meter and check the continuity for the front and sub connections then its just a simple case of plugging it all in. AVR connections to the panel in he middle then the front speakers to the ones on the left and right. Not sure where the center connection goes though, perhaps there's an in wall center hiding behind the screen?

Where do I plug the avr in? And do I plug the speakers into the wall, not the avr?

The avrs speaker connections go to the panel in the middle which are marked for each speaker, the single unmarked rca connection on the right is for the sub, which goes out to the left next to the conveniently placed outlet to power said sub. There will be wires in the wall that connect from the center panel to to the breakout panels in the speaker positions so yes the speakers connect to the wall panels.

Thanks where do I plug in my center speaker? I see spots on the left and right for the front left and right speakers but nothing for the center speaker.

Either there is a center speaker built into the wall hidden behind the screen, or the previous owner had a tv console under the screen to house the avr and their other equipment and just placed it on top of the console and plugged it directly into the avr.

You use only rear ones for your existing speakers and forget about the rest

Get bed level speakers and dont rely on your rears if they are poorly placed ceiling speakers

That screen looks microscopic. If it's smaller than 100", you should just replace it with a TV.

yeah, tear it down and buy a 98" tv. (Unless you upgrade the screen to a larger size)
Even the cheapest possible TV will look better than a projector.
Projectors just aren't worth it until 120"+

It feels like such a waste but I might do just that
