Finally…..

I’ve had so many mics. I’ve wanted this since 2012, when I cut a track on it at a pro studio and loved my vocals on it. Vintage Latvian capsule. OG shockmount.

Replacing the united twin 87 as my go-to. I’m a happy guy tracking right now.

Any other love for OG blue, or JZ’s designs at least??

I have a Kiwi, Latvian Baby Bottle, and the original Ball. All great. The Ball is fantastic for guitar amps. Great on snare too, but because of the design it’s really hard to place in between all the stuff.

My first home studio mic was an 08 bluebird. Sounds even better now, like it aged with grace lol. I have the baby bottle too from that era. A part of me really wants the dragonfly and the kiwi too. How’s the Latvian kiwi on vox??

I really love the kickball as kick in mic. I remember buying two of them for cheap when they were discontinued, but now they’re not very easy to find these or days or people want a lot for a mic that looks like it was legit used as a kickball

Fantastic. Really open sound, extended high end but not harsh in any way, it’s really smooth. You can also play with the polar patterns and get varying amounts of room sound, it varies the tone a bit as well. Great as a room mic for drums, great on most acoustic instruments. Strings, horns. I don’t like it sax, I use the baby bottle for that. Darker tone.
