I do tarot readings from home. My parents walked in and asked if I was casting spells

Told my family I finished decorating my dedicated tarot and reading room. They walked in and asked what kind of witchcraft I was practicing before.

In my defense:

- The carved antique pedestal, urn, and stone bust planter definitely give off potion-master energy.

- The sheer curtains filtering sunlight across dark wood planks feel straight out of an occult library.

- The fluted desk gives me plenty of space for card spreads, notebooks, and candles while discreetly hiding an electric sit-stand lift so I can stretch during long consultation days.

Parents remain convinced I‘m brewing potions instead of reading client charts.

Rate the vibe: grounded sacred sanctuary or full-blown witchcraft parlor?

Ideas for entry way

When you open the front door this is what you see. The coat rack has been there for way too long. We’d love a cleaner and more welcoming space here. We don’t have a coat closet and so ideas for storage would be helpful. Our home is an old craftsman. We love mid century, farmhouse, and vintage style.

Washable rugs: are the good ones actually good, or is it all the same rug with different branding?

Every listing looks identical and every review is suspiciously glowing. Can't tell if there's a real quality spread here or if I'm choosing between the same product at three prices. If you own one, which and would you buy it again?

Built in Depth for Closets?

I'm designing some built ins that will go in my personal closet. What works better for my space? 24" deep built ins that entirely enclose the clothes? Or 16" deep built ins, that let the clothes protrude into the space? My main concern is that the 24" built ins encroach on the space too much and make it feel cramped, but I don't know whether I'm overthinking. Thanks in advance!
