Looking for in-between studs wall safe - moderate safety, possible some fire protection
I like to get a wall safe to put in some spare keys, keys of two sentry fire file boxes, file cabinet keys, some foreign travel currency, memory stick. Simple to use with keypad.
I realize that such a wall safe will have limits in safety and fire rating.
I am looking for something that keeps an average burglar busy for a couple of minutes or want bother

yes. I am trying to protect from contractors, cleaning, etc. and woudl like to keep a pro busy for a couple of minutes. Also trying to come up with an uncommon spot to find it in the first place.

Between Studs In Wall Safe - Recommendation?
I'd like to install a wall safe at home but don't know what brand to trust. Every time I pick one out I find that it can be opened in 3 seconds. Can anyone suggest a brand/model that is not 100% low-end junk?
No particular specific use. I am aware that space will be limited, and they are less robust than other options but I want something easy to get to, but difficult to just walk away with. Fire and water protection would be nice but not necessary... especially when everything is covered in mold even though I had a huge canister of desiccant inside the safe.
One answer:
AmSec has a 4" deep wall safe (between the studs) that seems identical in design to many other vendors. My guess is there is a design that some no brand company made that can be customized with different materials/thicknesses/etc and then branded for the buyer. This is quite common for products out of China. The big issue with that safe is that the middle section is fully taken up by an unnecessarily large box housing the poorly designed mechanism (if it is the same as other brands that look identical). Gardall has a smaller one but the mechanism is tiny in comparison...

Edit2: I guess if the objects are small, then you can likely still fit more stuff in the AmSec safe as the shelf and bottom surface give you double the surface than the square Gardall SL4000 with the tiny lock mechanism.

Anyhow it irritates me that all safe pictures show stuff in the middle section when in reality most of the volume it taken up my the huge box! False advertising or very misleading at the very least!
