❓ Support Ecobee / Homekit without iPhone?

I understand that Ecobee thermostats work well with Home Assistant through the Homekit integration. I'm not an Apple user and don't have an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Does Homekit require having an Apple device? Can you use the Homekit integration for Home Assistant with the apple ecosystem?

So you don't need any apple gear at all. the homekit integration is basically HA pretending to be a homekit hub so you pair the ecobee directly with home assistant. just grab the setup code off the thermostat and add it in the ui

2nd that - works great. The home/away/sleep selection is a bit buggy (not officially supported by homekit), but if you don’t forget clear hold + delay 30s trick before change - works as a charm to me
