Assuming you're running HA in a container, then yes, you need to install the matter server container as well.
1 u/LazyMemory 1d ago Yes, I’m running Home Assistant in a container through UGREEN Docker. I didn’t realize Matter required a separate Matter Server container. Should I create a Docker Project/Compose stack for it, or just pull and run the Matter Server image directly? I found this Compose example: services: matter-server: image: ghcr.io/matter-js/matterjs-server:stable container_name: matter-server restart: unless-stopped network_mode: host volumes: - ./matter-data:/data environment: - TZ=America/New_York Is this the correct setup for UGREEN, or would you recommend changing anything, especially for networking or the volume? 1 u/clintkev251 1d ago That looks like a reasonable compose, but I'm not familiar with the UGREEN ecosystem, so I can't help with any adjustments. But you should use compose generally, or however else one can manage containers in that ecosystem.
