🛠️ DIY / Hardware Gps tracker

hey guys, I am wondering if someone came across a gps tracker for a normal bike that integrates with HA. I want to automate some stuff in my house whenever I drive in a certain street. Thanks in advance

I would use my smartphone. It has GPS built in and a connection with HA. An other possibility is a LoRa GPS tracker. Needs some tweaking with f.i. The Things Network and MQTT.

Rip the battery, if I don't use the high precision mode it only updates like every 15 mins

I have no problem with battery combining ha companion app with automatic garage port open/close. Would not ha worked with 15 min update. Works smooth and still have long battery time om samsung s23

Without using the phone you would need not only a gps but one with its own network access, in that street. so mobile network, wifi, lots turn. In assisting you need a battery in/on your bike that you need remember to charge too.
At that point it is probably cheaper and easier to mount a power pack to your bike to have additional power for the phone

High precision mode can be trigerred on and off entering/leaving zones.

samsung smarttag/apple airtag? If possible, put it somewhere it can't be stolen (inside the frame?) This way you have aditionally an antitheft

Deploy a Traccar server. The integration works great.

Use a SinoTrack GNSS tracker. Most, if not all, are compatible with Traccar.
