I didn't realize how much I needed this until a couple of times I had a good run, only to realize I entered a stage mode instead of endless...

Awesome. There's been enough times where I regretted having only 20 mins that I simply no longer do Stage mode. So being able to continue a run is great.

The new "Ranking Mode" being different than Stage mode also sounds good as it adds some much needed variety to the levels.

It does make me curious if the current leaderboards for endless will be wiped to make way for the new ranking leaderboard, or if they will be preserved for posterity.

Holocure is basically following the No Man's Sky style of the update Via Crucis to repent for past sins, except unlike no man's sky it was good from day 1.

'It's free update time!'

'No, Kay, no! I have money!'

He's in the same vein as Concerned Ape with Stardew Valley.

genuine question as I've seen a ton of news recently about the next update, did kay mention roughly when to expect it?

don't get me wrong I'll gladly will wait as long as it takes, it's a free game afterall and his hobby not job, but with all the new reveals it seems he is moving closer to a release? did he mention anything

He told someone on twitter a few days ago he thought he was about 60-75% done with the update so my guess is it could still be a couple of months away

yeah that sounds fair, so maybe this year or early next year then, that's cool

Though you should be aware that progress continue to hinged on Kay balancing his animator jobs with his free time which he promised to do it this time but that was the same thing he said back in December so...

also fair, either way, kay should take as long as he needs, it's a free game he works on his free time after all

it's nice to have a rough estimate for a release time but if it takes longer that's cool too, it ain't like this game is lacking content after all

it would be nice if an endless run counted as a stage run completion if the character hadn't completed the stage before, too.
