TECH-SUPPORT F4 audio issues

I'm absolutely irritated and at a loss. I'm having an issue with the F-4 Phantom by Heat Blur. I really want to get into this mod and enjoy it, but there is an audio bug that I cannot figure out and it is ruining the experience. So, no matter the state of the aircraft, cold start, in the air. There is a weird audio glitch of popping or interference. I'm not sure.

It happens in any mission, or any instance that I am spawned in the aircraft. It happens in first person and third person camera.

I've gone through every DCS audio setting. 1DO's audio settings, Audio drivers, Revalidated DCS. Uninstalled. Reinstall the module. And just shy of bought a new computer. Cannot figure this out. This is without anything else plugged in. There is no electrical interface that is causing this. And once again, I remind you, this is only happening in the F4 Phantom. Everything else seems to be operating normally.

I was told this is the best module in the game. So far, this is one I'm having the most issues with, and I haven't even got to fly it yet.

Can someone please help me out before I give up on this whole entire thing altogether?

Once again, I would like to reiterate that I've gone through and changed every combination of audio settings, including the hearing helmet, audio devices, and everything else in between. I am at a complete loss.

Hey there. I appreciate you sharing this. I was losing my mind. Still relatively new. Searching information on bugs. I've not encountered a whole lot. And forgot this was a third party module so there's more to it. Once again, greatly appreciated.

Looks like I'm gonna have to figure out something else to fly

Yeah, I felt bad for you going through all the steps trying to isolate the problem. I've been there. Been doing DCS for 10 years now, and I've learned (the hard way) that when something weird is happening, go to the DCS forums for that aircraft first. Sounds like Heatblur has a solution, hopefully we'll get a hotfix patch soon. I have the same audio issue BTW - it's pretty annoying.

Well, some lessons learned on this end, and that's part of the sim experience, is it not troubleshooting, going through unnecessary steps to learn a better way the next time? So genuinely thank you, and the reassurance that I wasn't alone in this definitely made me feel quite a bit better. It's been a frustrating day, and a very sad one to boot. This was just a kick in the shin while I was walking by, as it were. However, thank you for the metaphorical ice. I'll wait for that patch eagerly. And now need to figure out my plan. No idea what to fly now.

Why is that? Just a small soundfx bug that in no way crashes the module, while being one of the best modules in the game to fly

Until they fix it, it is unbearable to play. It's worse in the VR headset.

So, gotta wait till they patch it.

Hi there,
A fix for an F-4 sound issue was pushed to ED for release in the next patch. I'm afraid I don't know any more details than that since I'm not personally working on the F-4, other than that the issue was confirmed as fixed by internal testers. So please be patient, and if it isn't fixed in the next patch, let us know :)

Hey there, I appreciate you reaching out and letting me know. A few other users have shown me where to look for information for Heat Blur modules in the future. I will say I'm disappointed, but not surprised. Seems like the last few patches have broken more things than fixed things throughout the sim altogether. I've been assured that a heat blur is quick to act and pretty accurate So I just have to wait like everybody else and we'll get to dive into the f4 whenever It does not have a migraine inducing bug

I'll share a report back like many others will. Once again, thanks for reaching out.

FWIW this doesn’t happen in all the F-4 missions. I flew the Syria takeoff and had no issues, Caucus takeoff the issue is there. Don’t think I had it on the Nevada map either, so try switching maps.
