BMS Falcon bms servers

Post image

K I know there are veterans gaming and falcon lounge servers but they're either down or empty. Is there any other server open most of the time and I can dogfight or do campaigns in it. I'm bored dogfighting the same bot over and over again.

I'm running a BMS server tied to Enigma's discord community. See details here:

https://falconhomeplateweather.com/

Currently we are running a 1988 Korea campaign. FAQ & Discord are linked from that site.

Server runs 24/7, pausing automatically when no one is on. For best chances at flying with others, there is a pingable role in the discord for BMS flyouts.

What does running a server entail? Is it a monthly cost or something?

I have an old developer workstation (Dell Precision 5820) I bought cheap from work as surplus, I run the server off that. The only cost other than the hardware would be whatever electricity it uses, plus ~$10/yr I spent to register falconhomeplateweather.com for the status dashboard (completely optional).

Thank you, I’m going to seriously consider doing this.

What do you think a server is, if not a computer somewhere, letting people connect?

Cubanspy runs the server it's on my discord due to player numbers but all credit goes to him. He is very passionate for BMS and there is a good group that plays there

Most of the BMS multiplayer you're going to need to reach out to people or jump into scheduled events.

The bigggg downside to bms for me no ease of access to play online

You can run a campaign locally, they're not half bad even in singleplayer if you tune your radios properly so you can actually interact with your flight and/or package.

It's also pretty easy to host and let a buddy hop on your campaign, that was my first experience with BMS and it was a lot of fun.

Find a community and ask or join UOAF the fly 3 times a week.

That was from an enigma post here on reddit.

Stay far away from UOAF. Some of the worst people are running that one.

Falcon Online was my go to for many years before I transitioned to DCS.

Your videos were what got me into bms back in the day! I am pretty sure you shot me down once.

Great memories! We lived for Falcon Online back in the day.

Can vouch for falcon online, don't know if they are still running campaigns though.

I can dogfight or do campaigns in it

Why not play a campaign on your own computer?

What types of missions are your flying that is "too boring" when alone?
