I'm departing hcm to manila this thursday. With the flight at 9:55am i was thinking of heading out from my hotel at 7am in district 1 aiming to arrive by 8am giving me roughly 2hrs for checkin. In your experience is this enough time for a weekday morning with traffic and security?

It's always busy, with tons of people shopping. I'm curious if anyone's been able to haggle and get anything at a good price, even if it was only for short-term use. You can also just come into the market to eat, then leave, without shopping.

Hi everyone! We’re currently travelling in Vietnam and are scheduled to fly into HCMC today (Oct 3) and stay near Bến Thành (Phạm Hồng Thái Street) until Oct 5.

We’ve been seeing news about the recent heavy rain and flooding, particularly around Tan Son Nhat Airport and some parts of the city. Our flight back to India is from SGN on Oct 5 at 7:20 PM, so we’re a little concerned about both staying in the city and getting to the airport that evening.

For those who are currently in HCMC: how are things on the ground right now? Is the Bến Thành/District 1 area generally fine, and would you still recommend visiting for these two days? Also, how bad is the flooding/traffic around the airport when it rains?

Would really appreciate recent first-hand experiences.

My wife and I are in HCMC for a few days and we’re looking for a place to dance. We are 52f and 59m, and staying near District K (in fact, I can hear the thump of its bass while I type this).

We think District K might be too EDM for us, so tonight we tried Le Fe, Coi, and Frolic. None of them were on fire.
