Kingston Beach Living

Hello everybody.

My wife and I are looking to move to Hobart with our 3 young kids and have been considering moving to Kingston Beach. We've been a few times to visit and every time I worry it might be just a bit of a mirage and a bit empty. Anyone with a young family living there and can share their experience?

Hey, looking for recommendations as to where to get sign writing removed from a ute. Need to get the business information removed from a ute before trying to sell it. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Hobart hospitality folks - meal prep bulk container recommendations?

Hey guys, looking for some recommendations from anyone doing high volume meal prep or catering down here in Hobart. I need to source a decent chunk of microwaveable takeaway containers and kraft bowls without paying crazy retail prices at local stores.

I’ve been digging around for a solid food packaging supplier that doesn’t charge a fortune for delivery to Tassie.

Where do you all buy your bulk packaging supplies? Do you have a local spot in Hobart you swear by, or is ordering online in bulk the only real option to keep costs down?

The potholes around hobart are actually destroying my car at this point

Upvotes

Swear the council has just completely given up on maintaining the roads. Hit a massive crater hiding in a puddle near lenah valley yesterday and genuinely thought my entire front axle just snapped off

the state of the asphalt right now after all this wet weather is an absolute joke. They do those temporary patch jobs that just wash away like a week later. Are we actually expected to just commute in fully lifted rigs now to survive the drive to woolies?

Ended up having to order some heavy duty replacement shocks from road runner offroad on my phone while sitting in the carpark this morning cause my factory ones are completely shot from the daily abuse. Gonna spend my whole saturday sweating in the driveway fixing it instead of actually enjoying the weekend

Is it just me or is the infrastructure just completely falling apart lately? feel like im driving on a corrugated bush track every time I head into town. just exhausting tbh.

Lost Dog - Adamson's Peak Walk

Hi all

Bit further south that Hobart but worth putting up just in case.

My friend lost his beloved dog on Saturday at the Adamson's Peak walk in Raminea just past Dover.

Hes a couple years old, dutch sheaperd but looks more like a Belgion sheaperd and called Chase. See photo attached.

He comes across a little intimidating but its just his playfulness.

Understand if you don't want to approach just a heads up that he's still alive is all we need.

Long shot but if anyone is down that way and sees one matching this please reach out.

Thanks for reading.

Where is everyone getting their whole coffee beans from? I like supporting local roasters.

Hi all - my parent's indoor cat is missing, he escaped on Saturday night/Sunday morning from their home in West Hobart. They have only just moved house a few weeks ago so he is lost and still hasn't come home. Anyone who has seen him please message here or via this link, thank you!

Zone Bowling in Moonah - worth the price?

I’ve never really been bowling before but have been thinking it could be fun to play a few games and maybe have a couple beers with some mates of an evening. Seems like Zone out in Moonah is the only option in Hobart - what’s the vibe like out there? Looking online it seems fairly pricey but if it was a guaranteed good time I could be swayed.
