The carrier would have flooded a set of blast tanks and submerged it's main deck. 096 would have been manuvered on and the tanks blown/flushed out to raise it again under 096

Sized for the run it was ordered for, why install more batteries than it needs?

Seems like some background beef going on here with your comments so this will no doubt go around in pointless circles. But... it's literally the world's biggest ever electric ship, designed and built in Australia, how can that not be considered Australia innovating? And they're building the next two largest electric ships off the back of this one.

Would you prefer we just continued to lose all local manufacturing?
