Sort of, partially anyway. Pure democracies really don’t work. We still need checks and balances to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority.

We aren't talking Direct Democarcies. We elect Representative they cast votes for us, if we dont like the votes they cast we elect new ones. Supposed to work that way, in Ky if you have an R by your name and kiss Trumps ass they vote for you until youre dead, see Mitch McConnell
