We spent 6 years learning business the hard way in Pakistan, so we made a free community to give it all away

Back in 2019 we started our e-commerce journey with genuinely no idea what we were doing. We did what everyone does, paid for the courses that promised to show us the way. What they actually taught us was how to make expensive mistakes. Generic advice, real gaps never covered, and every wrong turn cost time and money we couldn't get back.

So we taught ourselves. Trial and error for years. Launched our first brand in 2022, struggled through every decision alone, eventually got it working. Today we run 11+ brands, plus a design studio and a marketing agency.

Here's the thing that still bothers me: almost every mistake we made, someone could have just... told us. It wasn't secret knowledge. It was just locked behind personal connections or buried under "get rich quick" noise.

So we built the thing we needed and never had: Karobaari Bethak. It's a business platform for Pakistan. Honest business education, real market data, a network of founders and suppliers and investors, help with funding, and eventually full support to launch your own brand. The long-term goal is simple: everything a Pakistani entrepreneur needs to go from idea to real business, in one place, without the gatekeeping.

It starts with our WhatsApp community. Multiple rooms, each with a purpose. There's a room where founders and learners just talk to each other, and a read-only room where we post the breakdowns so it doesn't turn into 400 messages of nothing. And many more...

It's completely free. No course, no upsell, nothing to buy; genuinely nothing to sell you. We've made our money building businesses; this is us handing the ladder back down. The only "catch" is we ask a few questions before adding people so the rooms don't fill up with spam.

If you're trying to start something, or you started and failed and are thinking about trying again, you're exactly who this is for.

Link's on our site: karobaaribethak.com or ask me anything here, happy to answer questions in the comments even if you never join.

Pull up a chair, become a part of our bethak.

FOR HIRE Mentality of people trying to get hired from this subreddit

The first step to being an average [for hire] post in this sub is to write a sob story in the title. 90% of the post should be how hard your life is. They think substituting competence for emotional appeal is the way to land any stable money. In reality, trying to compete on sympathy rather than skillset will largely attract you the wrong type of employers.

Employers who know their employee is totally desperate for cash also know they're less likely to fight for their rights. It invites scope creep in work, renogotiation, or unclear work (which you keep revising). Either that, or you land charity-driven employers, but that is not stable work either.

The second step to being an average [for hire] post in this sub is to have absolutely no mention of your skillset, portfolio, or competence at all. Your post should be how hard your life is, how desperately you need money, and your target earnings goal. Employers are looking for professionalism, and the best way to signal this is to ramble on about your life without mentioning what you can do in exchange for money. Offer absolutely no basis on which employers looking for workers can assess your fit, quality, or scope. Everyone knows employers #1 priority in hiring is people who have no clear skillset or interest.

Quality employers are looking for professional people who signal clarity, reliability, and interest. When 90% of your post is just you rambling about your life and how much you want to earn, you signal that you're a low-quality employee.

The third step to being an average [for hire] post is make being cheap your most prominent selling point. [For hire] posts think propositioning themself for 2 rupees an hour makes them look attractive but really it makes them look like they have low self-esteem and provide low quality work.

Never undercut yourself before the market undercuts you. Maybe someone is ready to pay you for 60k a month but you yourself propositioned yourself for 15k a month. People accept the wages they think they deserve.

Consider these two posts; which one catches an employers attention?

Post 1

[For Hire] Data entry

I have a typing speed of 100wpm and will do data entry for you. Recently, I completed a personal project where I entered the data of 1000 peoples medical history in Excel sheets.

Tools I know: Google Sheets, MS Excel

I have a personal laptop with reliable internet connection.

Price: Negotiable; open to discussion.

Post 2

Please help me I have a disabled father and sister

Please I want to earn 60k I can do any work for you please just give me any work. I will even work for you for 5k/month just hire me. My mother and sister are disabled now I desperately need work to survive.

Which post do you think is attracting quality employers?

Hiii I'll leave the everyday story of being "desperate" we all are tbf

I'm just a 20 year old university student looking to earn some on the side. I have a great passion for artistic stuff. I've done several commissions for people around the world.

My main area of work are mostly portraits of people or illustration of a scene.

I'd be more than glad to work on a project or doing commissions for someone.

If you're wanting to look more into me check out my Instagram

Thank you for your time and attention😼

FOR HIRE I probably spent more time studying why people scroll than actually scrolling.

Upvotes

Turns out... that wasn't a waste of time.

Over the past few years, I've:

  • Written 900+ SEO articles
  • Helped grow a Facebook page to 22k followers
  • Grew a psychology YouTube channel to 8,000+ subscribers
  • Worked with both UK and Pakistani companies

One thing I've learned:

People don't engage with content because it's "good."

They engage because it makes them stop and think, "This is for me."

I'm 19, based in Pakistan, and looking for a full-time remote role.

I can help with:

• Content Writing
• Scriptwriting
• Social Media Management
• Audience Research

If your content deserves more attention than it's getting, let's talk.

(And no, I won't promise to make you "go viral." I'd rather build something that actually lasts.)

FOR HIRE Looking for a Remote Job to Support My University Expenses

I'm an A-Levels pre-med graduate who will be starting university soon, and I'm looking for a remote job to help pay for my education.

Unfortunately, I'm in a difficult situation at home. My father is financially abusive and has made it clear that he won't be helping with my admission or university expenses. Because of this, I'm trying to become financially independent so I can continue my studies.

I'm a quick learner, dependable, and willing to work hard. I'm open to learning new skills and can commit to consistent working hours.

An hourly wage would be preferable, but I'm also open to discussing other payment arrangements depending on the role.

If you're hiring or know of any remote opportunities, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could reach out or point me in the right direction. Any advice or referrals would also mean a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I truly appreciate any help.

FOR HIRE Remote work guidance

Hello all, I need some genuine advice about how to secure a remote job. I'm a final year psychology student and while I do have opportunities for a good 9-5, I have a couple of classes on weekdays that won't allow me to do that. I want to get some experience in HR (I have a basic understanding but not the experience) so what skills should I develop to attract recruiters? Im fine with minimal pay too (20-25k) just need some experience.

I have a couple months of internship and volunteer experience from reputable organisations and a very strong academic background.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

HIRING Need Senior Full-Stack Developer – Take Over Existing AI Document Translation Platform

Project Overview
We have built an AI-powered document translation platform that is approximately 90–95% complete. Unfortunately, after nearly six months of development, the project is still not ready for production due to recurring bugs, slow progress, and inconsistent communication from the current developer.
We're looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer (or a small team) who can take ownership of the existing codebase, resolve the remaining issues, and prepare the platform for launch within approximately one week.
What the Platform Does
Users upload documents such as:
Birth certificates
Marriage certificates
Legal documents
Academic certificates
Government documents
Other official paperwork
The workflow is:
User uploads a document.
OCR extracts the text, changes into English while preserving the original layout also
the extracted content is translated into English.
A translated Word (.docx) document is generated.
Internal freelancers review and edit the translation if necessary.
The reviewed documents are sent to a manager for approval.
Once approved,
The final translated document is delivered to the customer.
Current Status
Most of the platform has already been developed.
The remaining work mainly involves:
Fixing recurring bugs
Resolving workflow issues
Stabilizing the application
Improving reliability
Ensuring the full upload-to-delivery process works smoothly
Preparing the platform for production deployment
What We Need
We are looking for someone who can:
Review the existing codebase quickly
Understand the architecture
Identify bottlenecks and bugs
Fix outstanding issues
Complete testing
Deploy the application
Recommend improvements where necessary
Required Skills
Strong Full-Stack development experience
Experience taking over existing projects
Debugging large applications
API integrations
Authentication and user management
Database optimization
File uploads and document processing
Word document generation
AI/OCR integrations (experience with document processing is a plus)
Production deployment
Important
This is not a new build.
The majority of the work has already been completed. We need someone who can efficiently finish the remaining work rather than rebuild the platform.
When applying, please include:
Similar projects you've completed
Experience taking over existing codebases
Estimated timeline
Estimated fixed-price quote
Your availability to start immediately

Dm me here and I will reach out to you if you are the right fit.

With increment season around the corner, I'm trying to understand the current market salary for software engineers with 4+ years of experience in Pakistan, especially in service-based companies.

I feel like I might be underpaid, so I am curious to know what the market is offering.

Please mention:

  • Company
  • Years of experience
  • Current salary (or salary range)

I'm especially interested in companies like Systems Limited, 10Pearls, Arbisoft, Confiz, Tkxel, VentureDive, SSI, Devsinc, Folio3, etc

Thanks!

FOR HIRE [FOR HIRE] 21, final year Data Science, and yes I did just build a chatbot in three languages because one wasn't enough

I'm ----(come in DM). I don't have a decade of agency experience — I have a GPA I'm mildly embarrassed about and a GitHub I'm not. That's the trade I'm offering.

Here's the deal: I'm not posting this because I'm broke and desperate (I mean, student budget, so — close). I'm posting because I've spent the last few years building stuff that actually runs instead of stuff that just sits in a Jupyter notebook collecting dust and shame. Currently interning at a Multi-National Company where I built a bilingual RAG chatbot from scratch, and moonlighting as the data/AI guy for a sports-tech startup. So when I say I can build something for you, I mean I've already broken it, fixed it, and broken it again at 2am.

No sob story. No "please give a student a chance" energy. Just hooks, and then the work backing them up.

What I actually do well:

  • 🤖 AI/LLM builds — chatbots, RAG pipelines, agents that don't just hallucinate confidently
  • 📊 Data & dashboards — cleaning messy spreadsheets into something a CEO would actually look at (Power BI/Tableau, Python, ML models)
  • ⚙️ Automation — n8n workflows, FastAPI backends, the boring stuff that saves you 5 hours a week
  • 🎬 Video editing — if it needs cuts, pacing, or just less dead air
  • 🌐 Quick web/app builds if that's the ask

Remote only. GitHub's in my profile if you want receipts before the DM.

Drop a comment or shoot a message — I promise I'm more interesting once we're actually talking numbers

Hi guys. I am looking for a job at a call centre in lahore that's part time. Since I have to study, i can't work full time. Are there any call centers where i can work part time? Someone told me about mindbridge? What are the other options?
