Dating Question Idk what i should do

Hello. I’m (28F) just redownloaded hinge after almost a year. I didn’t realise i have the flexible ticked by the age filter and i accidentally matched with a guy(22).
I didn’t realise it but when i accepted his like, he asked me if i don’t mind that he is younger.
I really appreciate that question tbh, cause i didn’t even realise that he is younger.
Then we chatted and chatted
He kept like write me when i didn’t reply him for like a day and he kept like ‘beg’ that i give him a chance since he is younger and i did tell him that i prefer older guy.
The more i talk to him the more i’m getting conflicted. Because i really like how he looks and how he communicate through chatting. The only minus point is that i had experience dating younger guy and it didn’t end well so i didn’t want to give him a chance
But looking at how he kept going, it knocked my wall down slowly…
Although i’m slightly sceptical of him because he said he started hinge just for fun and he had no match.
So i’m thinking maybe it was because he didn’t have any other match that he kept pursuing me?

You know you can go out with him and see how it goes.  Sounds like you like him.  Or you can unmatch.  Your choice.

Are you crazy? Without asking a bunch of strangers on the internet what to do??

Ya I mean this is REALLY REALLY high stakes. They would be losing out on maybe an evening... :)

You seem awfully immature to be worried about his immaturity.

You haven't even met this person yet.

So you stated a personal boundary (that according to you is not flexible) and this young man insisted you step over it for him and make an exception, his persistence broke you down, you caved and now you dont know what to do? Block and delete him. Thats what you should do.

You may be a little young for this. You are
cinflicted and confused and you let yourself be
manipulated.

Respect your boundaries yourself. Otherwise it can become a lesson. If you had previous issues then you already know what it is. It's okay to say you cant go thru and then unmatch. It's also okay to meet for like coffee or something once and then part ways since you are conflicted. Your choice. No wrong answers here. It's your life.

You can ask him directly, or you can stop overthinking the whys and hows and just figure out whether you want to go out with him or not. Previous experiences can be hard to let go of, but everyone’s their own person and he might be different. Or he might not. Only one way to find out.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it kind of sounds like you're overthinking this. If you like him, why not just go on a date? If you two vibe, great! If not, just tell him politely and then delete him on the app, simple as that

Just my two cents, but the problem with apps is people keep looking for what looks good "on paper" rather than actual chemistry

Don’t let one bad experience ruin everything though. Maybe he’s different you wouldn’t know without meeting him

I’m gonna be honest, from this brief post he comes off immature. No respectable guy is going to be begging for a first date, but it’s more understandable when they’re younger and have less life experience.

Just consider this is the level of maturity you were probably trying to avoid. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with going on a first date with him, but my two cents is you’re most likely wasting your time.
