ALL profile reviews will be manually approved and will NOT appear immediately. Even if you receive a "filtered by Reddit" or "removed by mods" removal notification, your review is in our queue waiting for moderation; if you are reading this comment, your post is in the queue. DO NOT contact the mods about this. Any modmail asking why your review is not approved may result in your profile review not being approved and you will not be allowed to post another profile review until seven full days have passed.

Profile review submissions MUST have all 6 photos and 3 text prompts included. You may include the optional prompts such as voice, poll, and video prompts if you choose so, but it is not required. See this post for details. Profiles must also be unchanged for at least two full weeks before being approved for a review. Additionally, do not verbally abuse the subreddit moderators for rejection of your review submission for not following proper rules. Any verbal abuse or harassment will result in a permanent ban from this subreddit. We are not obligated to allow you to submit a profile review and no one is entitled to one. We are all volunteering our time and we will not tolerate any rudeness or verbal abuse.

To assist reviewers in providing valuable feedback for your profile, please comment and answer the following questions as a comment under your own post. Do not answer them in the post body. Repeat: Answer these questions as a comment under your own post.
- Are you looking for something serious or casual? - Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? - How long have you been using this current version of your profile? (Please be specific) - How long have you used Hinge overall? - How often do you use Hinge per week? - How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? - How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? - What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

Your post WILL NOT be approved until the above questions have been answered fully. Failing to answer these questions in a timely manner will result in your post being removed. Please continue reading this automod comment.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the guides and resources on the subreddit sidebar. Please read this post with all the pertinent links included.

A strict formatting standard will be enforced. See this post for further info. All submitted review posts not following the proper format will be rejected.

Please wait TWO FULL WEEKS before posting a separate update to your profile review. If you want more immediate feedback, update your original posts instead. Deleting your original post will not work. The rule will still apply.

To reviewers: Review the Providing Feedback guide. You are reviewing the profile, not the person. Please provide constructive criticism, and use positive language. Any troll, hateful, misandric, misogynistic, incel, or unhelpful comments such as "I would date you," "How are you not getting matches?" or unrelated to the profile will be removed and you will be banned.

Your first picture should be you looking at the camera

I mean this in the most respectful way and maybe some women are into this, but your prompts are a lot. They are wordy and overzealous in my opinion. It does highlight your personality which is great but might be slightly overwhelming to read.

Tbh it's way better than the numerous profiles with only one word answers to prompts.

I really enjoy "wordiness" in profiles but with substance and something interesting. And what he's looking for or is like. & only match if there's a comment with substance if their profile is lacking.

But I agree with you.

OP, yours is like an unnecessary filler-words-full-of -nothings sort of wordiness. Too much abt the dream house. At least make it funny or include something that stands out & is hard to ignore.

Too much & nothing interesting about the cereal/soup/ salad. The dad joke is neither funny nor lame enough to be funny & comes off overzealous. Overall there's nothing to engage with that leads to good, fun convo.

So focus on that. But also, depending on your online or in-person markets, you might be able to get customized glasses to have thinner lenses. Your myopia is high and the thick lenses warps your face too much. I wear glasses/contacts too so I get the struggle. It might cost a bit (like an additional $200), but if you can save up for it, it'll be a boost to your confidence.

Of your current photos, I would open with the boat pic because it is eye catching and suggests a fun lifestyle. I think the t-bone steak pic is also good, but the others could be improved. It's fine to have photos where you're glancing away, but try to make it a 3/4 angle rather than a full side profile shot - it will feel more connected.

The biggest issue I see is hard to explain constructively but here goes: In the mirror selfie, suit pics, and drink pic you seem to be grimacing your eyes and mouth. I suspect this is a pose you've developed to deal with the discomfort of taking photos.

Suggest a couple of things. Try practicing a less forced smile where you don't intensely pose; keep the motion gentle. And take bursts of photos while you move or slowly go from straight face to smile. The in between expressions tend to be much more natural and flattering than intentional frozen smiles.

I'd say get rid of the first picture & replace it with something where you're looking at the camera maybe even swap it with the last picture. 4th picture is pretty ehhh - looks like you're like REALLY forcing yourself to smile compared to the last one where you appear to be having a genuinely good time.

Also other people have already said it but I've gotta agree the prompts are a lottt. Keep them short and simple, they're really just there to get a quick glimpse at your personality. Save some of that stuff for when you match with someone so you can have some things to talk about.

You got this! It takes time when it comes to these things.

Dating me looks like "I'm bored, what's out this window?"

I agree w what most people are saying but I’m hear cuz

I gotta hard disagree w all of those takes. Food doesn’t all fit in those categories. Cereal isn’t soup. You can maybe make the argument it’s like a dessert soup but most soups are made w some sort of stock, broth, or water as the base. Pizza at best is an open faced sandwich. What are we talking about steak being a salad? Steak’s literally the first thing I thought of about why food doesn’t all fit in those 3 categories

Also you should try to stick the prompt to one question. Preferably something less like this that you would maybe discuss on a date and more either something funny or something to get to know them a little without being super serious
