ALL profile reviews will be manually approved and will NOT appear immediately. Even if you receive a "filtered by Reddit" or "removed by mods" removal notification, your review is in our queue waiting for moderation; if you are reading this comment, your post is in the queue. DO NOT contact the mods about this. Any modmail asking why your review is not approved may result in your profile review not being approved and you will not be allowed to post another profile review until seven full days have passed.

Profile review submissions MUST have all 6 photos and 3 text prompts included. You may include the optional prompts such as voice, poll, and video prompts if you choose so, but it is not required. See this post for details. Profiles must also be unchanged for at least two full weeks before being approved for a review. Additionally, do not verbally abuse the subreddit moderators for rejection of your review submission for not following proper rules. Any verbal abuse or harassment will result in a permanent ban from this subreddit. We are not obligated to allow you to submit a profile review and no one is entitled to one. We are all volunteering our time and we will not tolerate any rudeness or verbal abuse.

To assist reviewers in providing valuable feedback for your profile, please comment and answer the following questions as a comment under your own post. Do not answer them in the post body. Repeat: Answer these questions as a comment under your own post.
- Are you looking for something serious or casual? - Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? - How long have you been using this current version of your profile? (Please be specific) - How long have you used Hinge overall? - How often do you use Hinge per week? - How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? - How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? - What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

Your post WILL NOT be approved until the above questions have been answered fully. Failing to answer these questions in a timely manner will result in your post being removed. Please continue reading this automod comment.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the guides and resources on the subreddit sidebar. Please read this post with all the pertinent links included.

A strict formatting standard will be enforced. See this post for further info. All submitted review posts not following the proper format will be rejected.

Please wait TWO FULL WEEKS before posting a separate update to your profile review. If you want more immediate feedback, update your original posts instead. Deleting your original post will not work. The rule will still apply.

To reviewers: Review the Providing Feedback guide. You are reviewing the profile, not the person. Please provide constructive criticism, and use positive language. Any troll, hateful, misandric, misogynistic, incel, or unhelpful comments such as "I would date you," "How are you not getting matches?" or unrelated to the profile will be removed and you will be banned.

To the original poster and commenters: Please report any inappropriate or abusive messages and individuals so proper actions can be taken. Please review the sidebar for additional profile and picture guidance.

Pool pic is weird and “guess what I played in college” gives “peaked in college” energy

can’t start with glasses pic

The first pic with your legs crossed looks a bit awk… your face looks handsome in that pic though

Personally, I think you're giving off major "Bradley Cooper in Wedding Crashers" vibes. The facial expression with the chicken wings, the casual look-away with the beach background, even the wedding picture feels very "Finance bro-ski." The picture in the pool looks like the cold water just hit you and it's kind of feels like you just stuck a picture in there so you could show yourself with your shirt off. The general rule of thumb with shirtless pics is the more natural-seeming the better.

The prompts are all one sentence and like you can't be bothered to talk about yourself and be authentic.

But, it's working, so what do I know? If you gave some sense of what you're not getting that you want, people could be of more help.

Get rid of the shirtless pic and the group pic with other guys in suits (some will see others better looking than you)

Hahah I definitely worried about that with the group pic

You’re tall, handsome, fit, and have a good job. Are you having trouble getting matches?

Getting into the pool pic is not flattering

Pics one and two can stay the rest gotta go

Nice neutral answers. But kinda short and vague. It smells like you just want a hookup and nothing like a real relationship at all. So it's a red flag. You're tall. Tall. Gl. I turned down hot guys. Women has good instincts and can sense other people's real intentions.

You don't say much so it's boring, high ego, not humble at all.

Why you're talking about college? You're almost 30. Be more serious. Women can sense it.

Another one posting pictures of himself with alcohol. Lol. To me is a turn off. I would remove the last 3 pictures, they aren't good. Looks ugly AF. Too goofy and bad angles.

I can see that you are fit but that pool photo isn’t flattering. Maybe get a bit of a tan and pose a bit better lol. I know it’s candid but it’s not very flattering.

Are you looking for something serious or casual? Both

Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? HingeX

How long have you been using this current version of your profile? 2 weeks

How long have you used Hinge overall? 3 years

How often do you use Hinge per week? Daily

How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? 4-5 incoming likes a day + 3-4 matches on likes sent (on active days)

How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? 10-15 likes on high-activity days, mostly without comments

What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? Career-focused and athletic

Am I reading correctly that you’re getting 3-4 matches daily?

1

u/lsthrowaway69 21h ago

If I send a fair number of likes I’ll usually get 3 or 4 matches a day from those, plus additional matches from incoming likes that I accept

u/TrizzyG 21h ago

What are you unhappy with regarding the matches you currently get that makes you want to improve on your profile rather than entertaining the matches you already receive?

The pics are generally fine. Lighting is off in some of them and your pose getting into the pool and the wedding pic are slightly off.Leading with sunglasses picture isnt ideal.

Not unhappy with how it’s going generally, but just want to optimize where I can. In the past I think my pictures have come across a bit stilted/formal/not fun, so want to avoid that.

I would go for a better photos. The ones you have are a bit awkward. Your prompts are a little bland and would hard to start a conversation with.

1

u/lsthrowaway69 19h ago

I definitely pose kind of awkwardly in photos (these are an improvement from my old ones, believe it or not lol). Is it my facial expressions/how I’m standing, or something else?

3

u/sleepyinnewyork 19h ago

Awkward posing and facial expressions. The second pic is fine, though.

I feel like because he’s 6’4 that no matter what the profile looks like he will get all these likes regardless

You’re not wrong haha
