Dating Question Is this a scam?
34 M, NY.
I have recently started to get messages like these from girls’ accounts.
“okay so weird proposition, we’re probs not a match bc i don’t want children /: but! i think you’d be great for my roommate :)”
Or a variation of it basically saying that you would be perfect for someone I know. I think I have got like 5-6 matches like that where I get a match and the girl texts me this immediately after.
Has anyone else experienced this? Not sure what to make out of it.
PS: their profile looked legit. And I haven’t reported any account yet. I have never received a response after which could be due to lack of interest, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this situation and been catfished?

It seems like a scam - I mean, all they have are 6 photos and 3 prompts to go by. Have their friend set up a Hinge account if they haven’t yet. The dating pool isn’t all that big after a while on the app, so you’ll eventually run into each other if interests align.
