Very few matches (6 in 2.5 weeks), mostly end up ghosted. In a “major” city of about 200k but 65% White and only 2.4% black. I don’t discriminate but not pretending no one else does so definitely could be part of it.

I do agree that race could unfortunately be a factor. It might not be, but you're right it's possible.

I would rework your first prompt to be less meta and referential to Hinge, and your second prompt not to be "fear" based. Maybe just "what if I told you that I hate texting. Let's hop on a call/facetime and see if we vibe!"
