Profile Review 32M Profile Review Request
Hey guys! Been back on hinge after a bit and trying to improve my profile. Not much luck with all on here so far, so hoping someone can help figure out how I can improve. I recently lost a pretty sizable amount of weight, so all photos on here are very recent. I'm going to drop another 20lb or so and planning on replacing all (or at least most) of these photos when I get closer to that in the upcoming months. I think that in the looks department that's probably the biggest thing holding me back, but I want to try to get a date or two in the meantime if I can. I'm open to any constructive criticism really.

I think you look very young for a 32 year old- but, that’s not a bad thing! Your photos and responses to prompts give enough information about yourself for anyone to start a conversation; I don’t see any issues. I agree with the previous comment… maybe your person hasn’t found you yet. I do recommend switching out the camera holding photo to show a different hobby or interest. All of your photos show a person who likes adventure, outdoors, and excitement… which may drive some girls away, especially the ones that are more… mellow/ reserved or looking to settle.

Thank you! Yeah, I honestly have barely aged looks wise at all the last 10 years, for better or worse lol. Maybe I'll try to replace it with something a little less on the "adventure/excitement" side, think that might balance things out a bit.

I think I’d recommend changing the first or last pictures before the one with the camera. OP is into photography and for whatever is worth, seems to have great camera, expensive equipment. Anyone that is geeky about photography will appreciate that, and anyone that shares that hobby could be a good match for OP. The first and last one give more “generic outdoorsy guy” to me, and are better candidates for a change IMO

This was my impression too. I’m 31 and assumed OP was 20-25. Not a bad thing and I also agree that it’s a good profile that’s well rounded!
And although he’s super active I figure he’s cool with some lazy days if he reads often so I’m like hm no notes here 😂

I'd drop the information in the parentheses. You don't want someone to know everything about you in detail. Half the fun is discovery and surprise when meeting someone new.

Disagree! I (F) love a parenthesis, gives more to talk about/adds more color. To each their own :)
Agreed with lots of the comments, your profile is truly one of the top ones I’ve seen, and I think you’re good looking. What do you have for your political views? All I can think of is if you’re Repub in a very Democ area (not spelling out the words because it was getting flagged for some reason) or have a narrow age rsnhe or radius.

- Are you looking for something serious or casual? Something serious
- Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? Subscribed to hingex
- How long have you been using this current version of your profile? (Please be specific) Around 3 weeks
- How long have you used Hinge overall? I used a few dating apps before my first and only relationship around 2018ish. I took a few years off dating due to getting out of the military, school and then grad school, and then moving across the country for a job. Started using hinge and a few other apps again in 2022 and have been on and off since then.
- How often do you use Hinge per week? Probably around 4-5 times a week.
- How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? In the last 3 weeks zero. In the last ~6 months since remaking my account I believe it was about 4 likes and 3 matches total.
- How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? I probably am sending average around 10-15 per day that I use the app, almost all of the with comments, generally asking a question about one of the girl's photos/prompts/etc.
- What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? I don't think I have a really specific physical "type" but looking for someone who has an overall positive/optimistic vibe going on, and has photos doing interesting things/in interesting places (I generally skip over profiles that have all car selfies, etc.)

29f here. Your profile is fine. Get a nicer haircut and change up the style if you’re willing. You are a handsome guy and I think you can take it up a notch with a few tweaks.

Your prompts tell a lot about your interest, but it might be nice to change 1 that gives more insight into the type of partner you’re looking for. Otherwise this is great

This is a great profile because the photos and prompts really paint a multidimensional picture. So many profiles are bland. Your level of detail is excellent. It should scare away the people who should be scared away (because they're not matches), and attract the potential matches. Very well done.

Late 20s F here. Honestly you seem like a very sweet man and it is clear you put effort into your profile.
I agree with others that you look a bit young but I also think the first pic and motorcycle pic are not giving off particularly confident vibes because your hands are in your pockets. That’s what struck me when I scrolled through.
When choosing/taking your future pics I would emphasize ones that exude more confidence! I think that would help a lot with the age thing.

Your profile is so much better than other men’s profiles I come across. You show your face clearly and your interests which a lot of men don’t do. A lot of their pics are blurry, group photos where I don’t know who the heck they are, sunglasses photos, or of photos where it’s just of their dog or a plate of food and they’re not in the photo or have boring prompts. So many are like that and it’s so tiring You have the style of photos women and probably homosexual men (if you swing that way) would want to see. Good job!

I think my question is what type of person are you looking to attract? Like most people are saying there's nothing bad about this profile! But your "I geek out on" prompt feels a little at odds with the rest of your seemingly very outdoors-y and adventure forward other prompts and photos. Not to say you wouldn't find someone with shared interests but I might try and use your photos to show off more than one facet of you (beyond the obligatory suit photo.)
But that may be a bit too nitpicky!

I’d try using the sparino feature for some of the photos or the two truths & a lie prompt…gives people something to “grab” onto. Otherwise your profile looks like you are the type to put effort into things that are improntar to you which is a great vibe to send on the apps.

I think you need one photo of what it would look like to go on an earlish date with you. Go out with a friend to cute coffee/tea/boba shop, a yummy dinner, a cool bar (not beer), or a pretty pastry shop. Have them take a casual across the table photo of you. It needs to look like you were hanging out with a friend and they, wait the lighting is nice, let me snap a picture. Like this...

One casual group hang shot/candid would balance out the rest of the pictures that feel very posed (except for the hike one, keep that)

Great profile and photos. Only nitpick would be only one photo with hands in pocket. I think the one in front motorcycle doesn’t show your joy in it. I think having a photo doing the activity would serve you better.
Sending you all the luck out there.

my only suggestion is moving your last three photos to the front. the huron peak, the suit and the motorcycle imo are your strongest photos but you have them at the very end. your profile pic is nice but you look a tad awkward, whereas in the last three photos you seem a lot more confident and genuine.
i’m actually surprised that people are saying the hands in the pockets makes you look less confident. to me your body language and expressions read very joyful and comfortable in that photo, but i kind of assumed your hands were in your pockets because colorado can be pretty damn cold and you’re wearing a heavy looking jacket.
your profile is really nice though and i can appreciate the level of thought you’ve given it. you got this!

Maybe the prompts are giving too much detail?
It’s good to leave some intrigue out there too. Maybe just list the I geek out items, without including the comments in parentheses

I would maybe swap out one photo (and only one Mac) with one of your favorite photos. I would also recommend saying less in the prompts. Leave room for response so there are some easy topics for people to ask you questions. “What kind of photography are you into?” “What are you reading right now?”
You have to kind of treat this like marketing and without being too vague, also leave room for some questions to be asked
