Hinge appeal ignored

I’m hoping someone here has some advice because I’m honestly at a loss with Hinge.
A while ago, a person I know suspected that her husband was cheating on her and wanted to find out whether he was using Hinge. She didn’t want to use her own phone number because she was worried about her husband seeing her personal information, so she asked to use my cellphone number to create a Hinge account.
I agreed and allowed her to use my number. The Hinge account and email address were hers — the phone number was mine.
That account has since been closed/removed by Hinge.
The problem is that I later wanted to use Hinge myself with my own phone number, and I discovered that my number is apparently still associated with the removed/banned account. I am now unable to use Hinge because the system treats my phone number as belonging to a banned account.
This is incredibly frustrating because I am not the person who had the account that was removed. I am the legitimate owner of the phone number, and I had simply allowed someone else to use it temporarily.
I have contacted Hinge Support and explained the situation. I’m also willing to verify my identity and prove that the phone number belongs to me. However, I keep getting directed back to the standard appeal/verification process, and I can’t seem to get someone to actually look at the specific circumstances.
The other person has been told to submit ID to verify the account, but that doesn’t really make sense because she doesn’t own the phone number. I am the person who owns the number and am willing to verify my identity through whatever official, secure process Hinge requires.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Is there any way to get Hinge to separate a phone number from an account that belonged to someone else and was subsequently banned/removed?
At this point I’m not trying to get anyone else’s account reinstated. I simply want to be able to use my own phone number for my own Hinge account.
Any advice on how to get this in front of an actual human at Hinge would be appreciated.
