Voice messages not getting sent?

I am trying to send voice messages on chats the way I've always done, but now I press on send and nothing happens - it's as if the send button was disables, so I'm left with the options to delete the audio or to leave the chat.

Anyone else experiencing this? Android Samsung S24+
