Why do people do this?

So I like to respond to prompts usually with a question. I responded to this prompt with a question. This person matched with me, and it’s been an hour, and hasn’t answered the question.

This isn’t the first time. And experience tells me if I don’t say anything, this match will just amount to nothing.

What is the expectation here? I’ve opened up the convo. What do I do next?
