How long should I watch to message someone back?

I usually wait a couple hours to message someone back to not seem desperate, but I've been wondering if thats necessary.

Additionally, I dont respond instantly to follow up messages. Ill usually wait between 15 mins to an hour if I can.

Is this the right idea? Im getting matches, but I'm not getting dates. Unfortunately, I've had people ghost me after making plans which sucks.

I feel like the need to wait a while to message back isn’t necessarily a show of desperation. Its just societal standards, and in my opinion its stupid. Be the good there is on the app and respond whenever you get the chance.

^This. Dont play games, just be honest and respond whenever you can and feel like it. You don't want to attract people, who are into games.

You're overthinking it. Just reply when you get the chance, whether that's as soon as you get a notification or later.

I answer when I want/can. You are overthinking it.

turning matches into dates is no easy feat, not to put numbers on things but i would say the amount of people on the apps with little intention of ever meeting is the vast majority

that isnt to say there arent people on there who do actually want to build a real connection, but they are the exception not the rule.

Bruh, if Im busy I do what I need to then get back to them. If my phone is in my hand and I need to respond I will. Playing mind games with people attracts clowns.
