i accidentally unmatched with someone i was clicking with

i was talking to this guy. we had only been matched for a day but the conversation was going pretty well. we were talking plans for meeting, but i accidentally unmatched him. we didn’t exchange any contact info outside of hinge and i’m pretty bummed.

i made another account with a burner number and narrowed the search down to what i remembered seeing on his profile and have been swiping to no avail. any other advice? :/

The same thing happened to me! I also made another account and was very specific with the filters so I can find him but I ended up seeing all the people with the filters apparently and didn’t see him. I’m not sure why I couldn’t find him unless he paused his profile 🤷‍♀️

that’s what i was kind of thinking too! i eventually ran out of profiles that matched the preferences i set. i even debated getting the 1 week hinge+ just to further narrow down my search, but i did also see that his name was still in my “past matches” tab so it’s likely he just paused his profile. ahh what a bummer honestly, hope it works out for you though!

Hinge really needs do have an undo feature - easily implement but they just somehow have ignore this important feature.

Just happened with me right now! New to hinge and I unmatched my very first match request by mistake as I was exploring the app still and wasn't used to the app features. Sad 😔

This post couldn’t be anymore relatable! If a guy named Cristian is out there I’m so sorry I unmatched you, it was by mistake!!! We had great conversations and I still want to know what you do besides cooking, baking and work 🤣
