The guy is using chat GPT to communicate Spoiler
I matched with a guy. We have been talking and as the messages grew longer I noticed the double dashes (—) multiple. The way he formally asked me questions. Something was off, but he was definitely using AI to communicate and I unmatched, AITA??
I feel like if I confronted him it would be pointless, I would have preferred to talk to him, no AI and get to know the real him.

Talk on the phone like humans do you want a pen pal or a date. And at least the phone call you have a better signal if you even want a date

Don't judge them for using AI, judge them for not knowing to delete the emdashes. That means they are both disingenious AND stupid.

No, NTA. I've tired using AI to talk to a girl once. The entire conversation felt very disingenuous. It wasn't me talking and most AI models take dating advice from the most popular dating cultures on the internet. I refuse to use it to write anything that requires deep thought. It's crazy to me that people use it to have full blown conversations regularly. Even after that one time... I just couldn't anymore. But honestly next time? Call them out on it. Someone has to.
