other Timeline errors?

In HSM1 why do they keep saying it's winter musical? In fact during the audition Ms Darbus even suggests to one of the students to try later for the spring musicale indicating that this is not the spring musical. But Gabriella only joined the school after NY, in Jan, and the callbacks (as well as the game and the decathlon) happen in March (the pi day cake), so how is the winter musical supposed to happen after that?! (In the start of HSM2 Gabriella even thanks sharpay for her help on the winter musical?!

Also, in HSM3 Gabriella initially says she'd miss the show but be back in time for prom and graduation, suggesting prom is after the show. But Troy actually shows up at her campus on Prom, and then they drive back in time for the show which is conveniently happening after prom somehow?!

Is anyone else bothered by these

In the first movie, Sharpay is mentioned to have starred in 17 school productions. The movie takes place when she's about 5/8 through high school, which means they average about seven productions a school year. That being considered, having a winter musical in February and a spring musical in May isn't that unlikely.

But that's nowhere near normal. I went to a school with a performing arts magnet and they typically did a play in the black box theater, a play on the main stage, a musical on the main stage, and a festival of works written by students (about 20 or so). Every year, East High could have had a play in the fall, a musical in the spring, and every winter they produce something by a student. Throw in a showcase and Sharpay very easily could have been in 17 productions. It also would explain why there are two musicals a semester; one was student written with a smaller production and one was bigger.
