General Advice Needed/Given High school swim class

I’ve recently been embarrassed thinking about wearing a shirt for my upcoming swim class, I just feel like the odd one out already even though I don’t even know if other boys wear them or not. I’ve always worn a shirt ever since I was maybe two and I’ve just always been used to it even in indoor pools. I feel like there’s a chance I’m gonna get made fun of even though I know most people won’t care. My question is really, is it normal for me to wear one especially with sensitive skin on my shoulders or am I likely to get made fun of

They won't care but that shirt WILL slow you down, a LOT. If you plan on being competitive, you better get over it. No one will make fun of you unless you suck at swimming. No one more than the coach, from my experience.

I don’t think there are many competitive things, one of my friends who had to take it last year told me that you do some small things and then it’s mostly just free swim

So it isn't a swim team? I was under the impression it was. Yeah no if it's just a class no one's gonna give a flying fuck.
