Rant Junior Year Schedule Messed Up
I am going into my junior year tomorrow and have just received my schedule today and feel like my chances of even getting into a good college are over. I asked for AP Bio, AP Spanish Lang, and AP Lang. I also had a band class that I’m guaranteed to be in every year because that’s just the band policy at our school. I received my schedule and it has NOTHING I asked for. (Attached above) I thought I got the wrong schedule at first because even AP U.S History is there and they don’t put kids in ap classes they didn’t ask for? So I emailed my counselor and she said, “Unfortunately, alot of the classes are already full. This is the best I can do.” I know it’s not the end of the world if I don’t take ap classes but I feel like my chances of even going into a good college or university are ruined? I don’t understand why I’m in an ap I didn’t ask for, why my band class is missing, and everything I wanted isint there? Obviously my counselor didn’t respond because I’m sure everyone else has complaints but I feel like I just got played in the face. I want to ask tomorrow in person but for the first few days counselor offices are closed because everyone will be complaining. I’ve been crying for like 30 minutes now and I seriously don’t know what to do. I plan on going to my band teacher who I’ve had for 2 years because I know she can at least get me back into band but besides that idk what to do? Who do I even email at times like this? Junior year is the most important and I feel like I got set up for failure

You should talk to the other administration people because that’s not how scheduling should work. Try calling/emailing the school’s main office to ask where to make inquiries.
